I am sure you guys will be just as quick to defend muslims if they are asked to feed their non muslim employees non halal food in their cafeteria?

This "religious" (or Catholic) problem with "birth control", is likely the BEST example of WHY Universal Healthcare is what American needs NOW.

 

You're right a bad comparison, the notion I'm trying for is that it's easy to support a religions edicts vs the big bad government when it is a religion and/or a religious edict you agree with. The true test of your convictions is when a religion and/or religious edict you don't agree with is challenged by the government, its what you do then that tells whether you are consistent in your ideals or a self serving machiavellian nihilist.

An EMPLOYER (not a religion) IF it provides health insurance, will ALLOW employees to buy insurance that will provide birth control IF the emplyee wants it.

The EMPLOYER is not paying for the policy, the employees are, out of their pay.


FURTHER we MUST presume that Catholic workers will not use ANY of the birth control, all NON-Catholic workers will be the ones getting birth control.

Since The Pill is cheaper than having a baby, the NON-Catholics will be subsidizing the Catholics and their large family insurance costs.

I was raised Catholic, was an altar boy, went to Catholic schools for a time and paid for it myself.

I have observed the Catholic Church since the 1950s. And I will guarantee you, the numbers of Catholics who disobey this "unjust law" will be minuscule.

Just like the VAST majority of Catholics COMPLETELY IGNORE the BS from the Catholic Hierarchy on sex, divorce, birth control and abortion RIGHT NOW!

The Obama Administration has overstepped is bounds on multiple fronts.

 

The Catholic church should have been shut down under RICO twenty years ago, all assets seized, and the higher-ups thrown in prison forever. Practicing Catholics should not be permitted to hold public offices.

It is an illness if you don't want to be pregnant. Nine months of all-round unpleasantness to produce something you don't want.

 

That's an absurd claim.. You and Obama both know that pregnancy isn't an illness, but it does require prenatal care and it can bring on some problems like hypertension, Gestational Diabetes , D&C procedure after a Miscarriage, Ectopic Pregnancy , Group B Strep Infection and Preeclampsia to name but a few.

My niece just gave birth to a full term anencephalic baby.

 

Well thanks for clearing me up on what a catholic is. I thought I knew what with my mother being a catholic school teacher for most of my childhood, and more recently a missionary to Asia for the church, and myself having notions of going into seminary (that celibacy was the deal breaker) after some college.

As for the Pope yeah it is somewhat unfair to paint him a hitler youth, but IMO they could of skipped that generation of Germans for Pope consideration and I would not of lost any sleep. John Paul was the greatest Pope in modern history, and I entirely support the speeding up of his canonization. Pope Benedict just does not seem as warm a person as John Paul.

And if you've never heard catholics talk like me clearly you have not hung with Irish catholics when the drink is flowing.

 

Since when is Pregnancy an Illness.Women 40 years ago thought it
was a great event and expectation.If one doesn't like being Pregnant
since when does that make it an Illness.Because the Liar Obama says
so.Since those in the business of squelching Pregnancy { Planned Parenhood}
