By the "Well bonded" "rules"...he claims that there are little green lizard men hiding among us as shape shifters and we are supposed to take that as fact unless we can categorically prove that they are not.

    Preposterous

You make a claim and if you can't document it...you're just saying ****

Since you are tool lazy to use Google here's what you missed.

Kovacevic says when the virus hit China hard, imports slowed down. So did the loads they’d usually be carrying. Kovacevic says:

It started in like the beginning of January, and every week it gets worse and worse.
KUTV spoke with the Utah Trucking Association, they say those driving loads of food and grocery items are busier, but other types of loads have slowed down considerably with fewer and fewer orders being placed.

Davor says he’s having to speak with his financiers, hoping to catch a break to keep them afloat.

“It is coming to the point where we cannot afford it. The insurance is too high, we have payments coming, the maintenance is too high. We’re just trying to make a deal with anybody” he said.

Why 2019 has been the worst year for trucking operators

It's common sense, with half the workforce ordered shut down those workers are only buying the bare essentials, this reduces the need for trucks and drivers. Many trucks have been idled because that cant afford to drag an empty trailer and they can't afford to pay a driver to do nothing for a week waiting for another load.

    That's in short supply nowadays.

Trucks where being idled before the shutdown, insurance is sky high and trucking companies are drooping the rates they are paying per load, so a lot of truckers are moving into better paying jobs like pulling wide loads and hauling hazmat, there used to be good money in commodities and there may be again someday, but the truckers are going to have to force those better prices by refusing to haul for the companies who are pushing the lower rates.

Well Bonded thinks that if he says X you have to refute it.

No one needs to refute an assertion. For instance, Well Bonded is a Martian.

You seem to be saying that you're going to do whatever you like, and if that's a risk for your neighbors who are just trying to get some groceries, too bad for them. You seem to be saying that you are quite willing to be inconsiderate towards others, and unwilling to take a simple step like wearing a cloth mask. You seem to be saying that you don't care about the lives of others, as long as you get to do whatever you want. That's what you seem to be saying. I hope I have that wrong.

Why should I wear a mask when most people around here don't wear masks?

Hendry county and we have something like 151 cases, mostly among healthcare / nursing home workers, many of whom work in Lee county or people who work at the GEO South Bay Correctional Facility in Palm Beach, we have had 6 deaths all in local nursing homes.

I do care about others, but I don't need to wear a mask to show that, what I have done in the past and will do again in the future, prove that to be true.

Masks around here are just not needed, the virus is not really being spread even though it was brought in.

Now I will say this, I have to go to Broward or Palm Beach once every two months or so to stock up on meat, because of business I was there twice a few weeks back, last time I went, it was right in the heat if the outbreak, Broward was getting really bad, but I saw a meat shortage coming and meat prices where still depressed, so I wanted to stock up while choice was up and prices where down.

I took protective measures, though not wearing a mask, I had already giving it to my son, who works full time in Broward, none the less, when I got back I self isolated for two weeks. Had I become infected I was not going to place my neighbors and the residents of this county at risk because I just arrived back from the Third World, it was strange and cut into my business. If I needed supplies, I couldn't just to the local supply house and pick them up,

So things slowed down, if they couldn't ship UPS or I needed to pick it up, I would pay by card, one project I had was building a control desk for a radio station in Lee county, so I had the lumber supply pull the materials, stack them way out in the parking lot and stay away from me while I load up, normally as a courtesy they insist on loading the customers order, but had no problem with my request to stay away from me.

Two weeks went by, so I like so many out here it was back to business as normal.

What really kills me is I know a lot of people, mostly women with children who work in the service industry and they are going bankrupt, while they made ends meet and has a little saved for a rainy day they have been hit with a financial tornado, money's not coming in, bills are stacking up and what once was black is turning red.

DeSantis went phase 1 on the 4th, but little happened, restaurants reopened, but remained empty, tourist season was cut short and that hurt bad, yesterday the place I go for Sunday breakfast was almost at it's 25% allowed capacity, but that's not enough to sustain the business or provide enough tips to pay the bills.

I think the side effects of this virus and the response to it are going to kill more people then the virus did, over time, so it will never be noticed, remember, media moves on to the next crisis and never looks back into their wake of destruction.

    Oh forgot.

I full disclosure, I may have caught the virus, about five days after getting back from Broward, I woke up what I call the classic symptoms of catching the Flu, which I haven't had for a couple of decades, it lasted a few of days and faded away, last Tuesday same thing again, but only for a day.

My doctors office, which was closed to visits, told me to defer testing, which I would have to drive 55 miles away to have done, if it got worse I could go to the regional ER and be tested, then in June they would run a test for anti-bodies on my next blood work up to see if I was actually infected with it.

    Matters not to me.

Besides wearing one can get you attacked.

Wearing these face coverings is recommended, but voluntary, and as we see the numbers of cases climbing, more and more people have chosen to wear them. Unfortunately, a few individuals apparently disagree with this practice, and have taken action to show their displeasure by verbally harassing and in at least one case, physically threatening those who choose to wear masks.

“I just want everyone to know in case it happens again, hopefully someone else reacts better than I did,” said one woman, as she described her scary experience, “ Yesterday, around one in the afternoon at our LaBelle Walmart, I was shopping for my groceries minding my business when I noticed a guy who looked to be about in his forties, wearing a black tank top with a camo hat, walking behind me. I did a quick glance behind me and looked away not thinking anything out of the ordinary, he was a distance behind me. I guess as I looked back he noticed I was wearing a mask and that must have triggered him along with the fact that we were alone in that isle. He started laughing and not in a haha funny way. I looked back again because this guy sounded creepy as hell and that’s when he sped up to get right next to me so I sped up too to get away from him. He then proceeded to cough and spit all over me on purpose, all over my hair and back yelling “all you stupid [expletive] I hope you all get sick” or something to that effect.”

And what? Put in jail after the real criminals are being let out.

People who demand others do things that are unproven to work, have no business developing policy, or directing the enforcement of any existing policy.

Incorrect, they do not protect the wearer and if they have a check valve, they do not protect others if the wearer is infected.

All they can do is capture droplets that might be carrying the infection, but once the water in the droplets evaporates the remaining virus's will pass right through the filter and be inhaled by the wearer, about all they do is keep people from touching their mouth or nose.

And then there is cross contamination, when a person takes off the mask they can transfer virus's to their hands from the front of the mask and if they don't immediately wash their hands they can then infect themselves.

It's the same as wearing gloves, yes gloves will keep the virus off of the persons hands, but if they touch their mouth eyes or nose with the gloves on they have possibly infected themselves anyhow.

I do wear gloves when touching things that are of high risk, gas pump nozzles for example, but once I am done the gloves come off pulled inside out and are tossed in the trash before I get back into my truck.

And a large problem I am having with masks is buying them, normally I keep a few hundred N95 masks on hand and because I have asthma, when I am doing sanding or welding I wear one to prevent inhaling dust particles which can kick off an attack. However the price of 3M N95 industrial masks has doubled and my two suppliers are limiting order to 50 per order and ordering such a small amount becomes too expensive when shipping is added in.
