True, we can observe the effects of wind. Trees sway, clouds race across the sky, shutters slap and flap, etc. Love, empathy, treating others as we would like to be treated...All morals that can be found around the world. Where did they come from? Are morals vs instinct why we humans are at the top of the food chain? Why should that be? Wouldn't it be better just to have the strong eat the weak? Evolution would certainly favor that outcome don't you think? What or Who are influencing the human race to be moral? Should we call it God? Maybe there IS a higher power.
Here's a nice little article for you to learn about how wind works. http://science.nationalgeographic.com/science/earth/earths-atmosphere/wind/
Such limited scope. That is one of the biggest problems with science... it tends to take a person and stick him/her in a box that restrains him/her from attempting to do anything outside the box. Study a couple of years in some of the areas of metaphysics. Psionics
I thought the wind was god and he was hugging me... but now I think you've convinced me that he's not real. Thanks, now I'm an atheist!
No, we can't, unless the god-fairy shows up and submits to observations of humans so we can be pretty sure its the cause of observational events. However does the Q equal the god-fairy any very advanced alien would appear to a primitive species to be a god. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBwoEXlTph0
I can see, hear and feel it... it can be scientifically measured, it's real I can't prove magical flying unicorns exist as I have never seen, felt or heard one
natural selection... though some say ancient aliens played a role in it, I suppose some could call them Gods .
Wind can be measured. Wind can be made visible by adding smoke or other particulate matter to the wind.
Why is that less believable than man being created from dust? Ge 2:7* And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground,
Actually, evolution favors cooperation. This is why fish swim in schools, birds flock, bees create hives, and why sexual reproduction exists. The two most successful species on the planet are ants and humans and they both form complex societies. Hell, our own bodies are a result of different cells cooperating together for the greater good. A single human by itself is not very strong or fast. Even with our intelligence, we wouldn't have lasted very long on an open savannah, but in a group, we can take down a mammoth. You see, our morals come from our evolved brains so that we can form societies. The stronger our communal bonds, the better chance we had for survival.
I honestly don't know how you came to this warped conclusion - - - Updated - - - Only you insist that this "proof" must amount to scientific data.
Scientific data can be objectively proven. It is independent of emotions and other manipulative elements. Why would trust evidence less than that?
Yes, that feeling and science proves the existence of wind. God, on the other hand, is a man-made fairy tale. If God exists, then so does the fairy tooth mother, Santa and that weird hippy called jesus.
NO I can see the wheat shafts sway. I can see the sails expand and contract. But the "wind"???????????? Nope, never seen it. And neither have YOU. Guess!
Atheists can sometimes feel the effect of God, but instead choose to deny Him instead of accept....... So answer the questions. Prove to me that the wind exists. - - - Updated - - - AND...................??????????? - - - Updated - - - WRONG. Two people stand outside. One says it's a hot day, the other says it's a cool day. One says it's windy, the other says it's barely blowing. One person says it's pouring rain, the other says it's a light sprinkle. WROOOOOOOONG.
Do you believe in right or wrong? Ever felt guilty or ashamed of something, an action, a thought???? Is murder right or wrong? Presuming you're a moral relativist and "there is no right and wrong", then it wouldn't be wrong to murder people??? But why then do people punish each other for murder, if it's "not wrong", well, according to YOU anyway??? - - - Updated - - - edit, WRONG PERSON - - - Updated - - - So you admit that you FEEL the wind and this is the basis for its existence, for you, CORRECT?????????? - - - Updated - - - And what happens when you add FAITH to GOD???? Won't He be made VISIBLE then???
From this: A god should allow his creations to scientifically observe him because that is how humans can objectively get a feel for the truth about things if he is to fairly demand belief in god. And if not, then the god should not punish people for not believing in him/her/it.
Are humans OBJECTIVE though???? One person says the wind is STRONG the other says it's just a slight breeze, where is this so called "OBJECTIVITY"????
No, that's why we have the scientific method. We analyze data, use different models that produce different results and test different methods and conclusions that return different results. Then we adopt the models that reliably work. That's how we know the world. We propose that if the temperature changes, that somehow affects the world. Then we search for reliable means of quantifying to which degree the world is affected, that can be reliably measured. For instance, mercury in a thermometer is affected by temperature in the air surrounding it. But if that only worked on one side of the earth, we'd have to find out which model would explain the difference on the two hemispheres.
How can you possibly except to "scientifically obverse" an entity that created the human capacity to scientifically observe?
Of course it's proof. If a fish in muddy water that you cannot see through bites you, you don't need faith to know it happened even if you could not observe it. You observe the effects, but you can bet it happened based on the evidence. We see the effects of light even if we cannot see the light source at all. We see the effects of magnetism, gravity and electricity as well, but cannot directly see any of them.
Except there are believers who don't need to see God to know that He exists. What's the point in belief if it was that easy? It all would depend on why someone doesn't believe in God. Only God knows what is the hearts of men.
