There were inter-tribal wars for territory well before their first contact with the white man. Liberals seem to have this pie in the sky view that the Indians were just sitting around smoking peace pipes all content and happy. You've been watching too many movies. Like any hunter gatherers they competed with each other for resources which often lead to war between the competing tribes. When the settlers arrived, they were just someone to compete for resources with as well.

BTW, The Indians didn't believe anyone owned the land, that was the source of the conflict, when settlers claimed land as their own. So the Indians didn't have any land to invade.

It went to talking about native Americans because, IMO, the right haes trouble talking about racial problems in today's society.

 

I have apologized for my attitude in my early life. The 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and today have people who treated minorities as second class citizens. We are not talking about what happen 200 hundred years ago. We are talking about what happened yesterday and during the last 60 years.

As you can see the Bison in NY State were at the farthest north east reaches of their range. They would have little to do with Indians attacking settlements in the coastal areas of Virginia and North Carolina.
