It's been impacting cars for years, as I pointed out

Nope. Trump's rollback allowed automakers to produce cheaper cars.

Questions weren't asked of me, but I think they're good questions for any "climate change activist" to answer... I'm no "climate change activist", but here are my answers to them.

No fossil fuels were used (fossils don't burn very well), but carbon based fuels were definitely used. Thank God for carbon based fuels! :)

Nope. I'd rather not unnecessarily carry the weight of two engines around and I'd rather not wait hours upon hours for refueling. Neither one is for me. I'll stick with the tried and true gasoline powered ICE.

    No.

    Yes.

    Not atm.

No, but he's the first person who "climate change activists" should start with. Anyone who flies his/her private jets to Davos each year would be good follow-ups.

Yes. For instance, I re-purpose my plastic grocery bags as trash can liners (and use them for trash collection in my vehicles). I also plant trees, but "climate change activists" are currently advocating starving them to death. I also clean up after myself and I don't litter. I do the basics.

Thanks for being honest. I don't want to sound preachy but you might want to try and cut down on plastic bottles. I read lots of stories of fish having micro plastic in them. it takes forever to degrade and breaks up into super tiny pieces. Again, i'm not trying to preach. As I'm typing this I can see a lotion container made of plastic, the keyboard i'm typing on is made of plastic and so is the container of antiseptic wipes on the other side of the room. It think when it comes to disposable stuff we can minimize where possible.

The irony of course is that it is you doing the dance. If increasing CAFE standards increase car costs then decreasing CAFE standards will help lower costs.

Oh, Puhleeezzz. Climate occurs over years, decades, or centuries. This scary chart represents a MASSIVE 1 degree celsius change; about the tolerance band of your household thermometer.

I definitely make use of my fair share of plastic materials. It's definitely hard to get away from it (as many things are made out of it and it's typically cheaper). For instance, I drink a lot of milk which comes in a plastic container. I also eat ice cream, and that typically comes in a plastic container. I make use of bottled water from time to time... and on and on...

I typically dispose of my plastic/trash by burning it in a burning barrel.

Occasionally I go to a grocery store that makes you weigh your produce and attach a sticker printed from the dozen or so weigh scales scattered throughout the produce section. Everyone puts the produce into a plastic bag first. Depending on what other items I purchase, I might end up with lots of plastic at checkout, where they then ask me, paper or plastic....

The paper bags and plastic bags each come in one size. Paper is a full vintage size brown paper bag, maybe 4 or 5 gallons, complete with glued on handles and 3 or 4 color printed grocery store logos about the stuff available at grocery stores, and plastic is about one gallon with some single color print on it that is the name of the store.

The raw material feedstock for paper is renewable / sustainable trees, whereas it is million year old organic reserves for the plastic. However, the plastic requires no fresh water for its manufacturing process, or little compared to that required in the paper process. Additionally, both processes depend on machinery that depend on lubricants also derived from the million year old organic reserves. Logging depends on the fuel used by the logging equipment. It is far more likely that the environmental impact from the paper bag is more intense than that of the plastic one, but these sorts of considerations are unknown to Greta and her admirers, like my man David Crosby. Still not voting for any Rs in the foreseeable future though....
