If you were about to be stabbed with a big knife by some crazy bitch in front of the cops, would you want them to taze her and risk the taser clips not attaching properly? Or would you want them to put that crazy fat girl down?

I would hope they would shoot her if it was me. Because if I had a gun and she tried to stab me I would empty the clip in her.

At first I thought this post was a joke, but from your other posts I gather that you're serious. Regardless of what she intended, the act she was in the process of performing when shot was stabbing another person with a knife. That's wrong, and for the victim's sake, needed to be stopped immediately. The most reliable and immediate way to stop her was to shoot her.

When did we re-write the books to say, "You do the crime, don't worry; nobody is going to shoot you?"

There are consequences to actions. Attempting to stab people can have some really severe consequences, as we have seen here.

In a perfect world, we all would have preferred a different outcome that resulted in no lives lost, but had the police hesitated would she have killed someone with that knife? What if she killed your loved one with that knife because the police hesitated or did not take any action?

Sorry you missed the post I was responding too. I'm sure you could probably find it if you searched, however.

I'm sure she was just trying to hug her. Pro tip: most stabbing deaths do not involve actual ninjas.

Running at someone with a knife and trying to stab them is a threat of lethal force. I shouldn't have to explain that to an adult . . . or even to a child, but I guess that's where we are now.

Cop may have saved a life. If she was just standing there with a knife id be more inclined to say he could have tazed her. But she was literally trying to stab someone when he fired. Good shoot IMO

He didn't taze her because he had a matter of a second to try and save not only the other girls life, but potential his own if he chose to holster his firearm, to retrieve a tazer. I swear, arm chair QB's should remain on the sidelines because you are going to get allot of people killed with this wild a$$ mentality!

Police training? A better question would be who trained the girl? She had her entire life starting from Day 1 to be trained. Who failed?

this is why cops should wear cop cams, it protects cops as well as citizens, imagine if this cop did not wear a cop cam

this cop should be very thankful he wore his copcam

If a trumpet was going after antifa with a knife, would you assume they intend to murder. Well she was going after someone with a knife. She intended to murder. Even if she meant to scare, that isn’t how it works. Treated the same way.

The parents can have another one and try again on raising a respectable 15 year old that doesn’t chase people with knives.

    Obviously.
And, that is (obviously) why it was a good shoot.

or a white man kicking a black girl when she is down... that was disturbing too

this is not a case of cops behaving badly, sometimes they do, but this is not such a case

not all people are good, some are bad... black or white, wearing a badge or not

Probably not. Just some crazy woman. But you have to figure people are watching. If they can get a few million getting shot in the shoulder, that's SO WORTH IT. Its open season on cops now, so hit while the iron is hot=)

The cop could have called her a racial slur and that would get her attention on the cop.

one unfairness I see in this case is that when a cop is justified in a shoot, the video is release right away

but if the cop is in the wrong, it often takes much longer for them to release it

I think in both cases the video should be released asap

And of course, there is also the rewrite that says "You do the crime, don't worry; when they arrest you, just resist and flee, and they have to let you go."

I'm hoping that all this insanity is just a passing phase that society is going through.

On the one hand, I don't think I would choose to be shot in a random part of the body for any amount of money, given how likely I would be to die from it. But on the other hand, if I were intent on stabbing someone, I wouldn't wait til the cops show up either... so I guess I just don't have a common frame of reference from which to understand some people.

I can't think of any situation when I would be stabbing anyone in front of cops either, so...

There is a calculated effort to create rage and mental unrest in America. When I look at conservative web sites I see articles and comments designed to trigger rage and the liberal mass media goes out of their way to trigger rage.

I believe the media to a large degree has been paid to conduct a large scale perception management, information, i.e. information warfare to destabilize the country. Hard to say why. Maybe it is all part of the "Great Reset."

the American Corporate diet does not discriminate, that is for sure

I think a lot of the mental issues in this country are caused by these high carb processed food diets as well

maybe there was some truth to the "Twinkie defense"

    Good post.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/...), which shifts the brain into emergency mode.

It is a little-known fact that high-sugar diets can wreak havoc with neurotransmitter levels in a number of ways, including through disruptive effects on the kynurenine pathway. The kynurenine pathway helps regulate the activity of serotonin, melatonin, dopamine, GABA, and glutamate—all important neurotransmitters in symptoms of psychiatric disorders. Diets too high in refined carbohydrate promote inflammation and oxidation (see above), which shifts the brain into emergency mode.
