Former FBI Director James Comey has been under investigation for misleading President Trump - telling him in private that he wasn't the target of an ongoing FBI probe, while refusing to admit to this in public.

...According to two US officials familiar with Horowitz's upcoming report on FBI misconduct, Comey was essentially "running a covert operation" against Trump - which began with a private "defensive briefing" shortly after the inauguration. RCI's sources say that Horowitz has pored over text messages between the FBI's former top-brass and other communications suggesting that Comey was in fact conducting a "counterintelligence assessment" of the president during their January 2017 meeting in New York.

    This is an interesting development.

Trumps own director of the FBI misleading Trump.

Will be interesting to see where this goes.

The entire collection of crackpot conspiracy theories is appparantly being thrown against the wall in advance of the Mueller testimony.

The Seth Rich conspiracy theory is alive too. And I’m sure we’re going to get the Strok and Page nonsense too.

    Exactly.

UNTIL this Fantastical "Horowitz Report" actually emerges--This "story" has less credibility than a Bigfoot Sighting.

    My Prediction:

The "Horowitz Report" referenced in this "Article" (Based on Unnamed Sources and Complete Hearsay):

    EITHER

    1) Never even sees the light of day...

    OR

    2) Appears, but says nothing that validates the ridiculous claim (made by "Unnamed Sources" in the OP)...

And THIS (from the OP Link):

According to two US officials familiar with Horowitz's upcoming report on FBI misconduct

^In other words, until completely proven, the whole story is Complete Hearsay and BS.:bored:

Someone thinks it's bad to investigate a crime without giving the suspect a heads up. That's pretty funny.

    Mark Felt
Former Associate Director of the FBI
Passed over by President Nixon to replace J. Edgar Hoover as the Director of the FBI...
Mark Felt was butt hurt and became Deep Throat and took down a sitting President.

Well, there has to be a crime to investigate and when Comey was 'investigating' there was no crime other than the crime of the Hillary campaign paying for a made up dossier from a foreign agent. It was more than just Strzok that believed there was no 'there there'.

I've always heard it was allowed, and relatively common practice, for the police (FBI) to lie to targets/subjects of investigations...

    Why yes - https://www.forbes.com/sites/marcwe...-cops-can-lie-to-catch-bad-guys/#6fe6163810eb

Another perjury trap.... Say words to Trump and get him to respond using his limited vocabulary....

Oh goody.... I love it when Trumpers defend Nixon.... Beavis and Butthead in the same post.......

If he wasn't such a Republican tool (and too old now), looks like James Woods could play Felt in a movie....

Yes indeed law enforcement is completely free to lie but in the case of the FBI the reverse is a felony.

If you might repeat might be a target no matter how damn innocent you are never talk without your lawyer being by your side.

For one thing they are not free to lied to your lawyer.

Ohhhhh yeah... Bank on it.... If we don't, I'll take out an insurance policy...

    Should go something like this.

    Q - Strzok/Page - Lovers - Texts - F Trump - Insurance Policy - 1 Million to zero - Blah Blah Blah

A - Congressman, are you having a stroke (or a Strzok)??
    - Strzok was a top FBI counter intelligence asset. I was glad he was on the team
    - McCabe and I found out about the texts and we removed him from the investigation as soon as possible to avoid the appearance of bias.
    - Can I return to a Democrat to ask questions now?

As Lisa Page testified, “it still existed in the scope of possibility that there would be literally nothing” on Trump collusion. The FBI had nothing before the Mueller investigation started. Investigating a President based on feelings is a crime and abuse of power in and of itself.

Compared to trying to take down a sitting president by manufacturing a narrative of crime that never happened.

Russian meddling is a crime, and even trump admits they did it to help him. Only logical to look at the person who benefited from the crime.

Then why didn't they look at Bernie and Stein who also benefited. We know why, because unelected bureaucrats decided to try and take down a sitting President with zero evidence.

Yet the FBI had uncovered nothing after 7 months of a secret investigation and Mueller still found nothing after 22 months and 40 million dollars.
