Perhaps we can see a lack of competency in the selection through voting of our legislators and administrators. Here it is not the seeking of diversity that undergirds the decline. It is, rather, the selection on the basis of extremes of ideology. Regards, stay safe 'n well.
This is already obvious if you've flown in the past couple of years. It's spreading to more and more industries. I think we know how this will work out.
I would recommend getting older doctors. The ones coming out in the next few decades are going to be utterly crap. This will drive patients to white male doctors. There is no way to know the competency levels of any other doctors since the system now refuses to measure that. This is how you dismantle a health care system. I wonder if they are going to change the law to protect health care providers from the tidal wave of patients injured by incompetent doctors. Note that it is a career ender for a doctor to speak out about this.
The age of the company man didn't end because of diversity. It ended because asset class head and institutional investors haven't met a company they won't ruin or an employee they won't shaft to maximize their short-term return on investments.

They aren't. Accidents happen. They have always happened. They always will happen. Our "government safety systems" have always been written in blood. The Bonhomme Richard happened because a guy already about to be booted from service set fire to the ship on purpose. One of the the Navy collisions was found to have happened because the safety officer was only paying attention to one side of the ship in heavily congested waters and not to the dangers on the other side, and the other had a helm crew that had just had come over from a different boat with completely different control systems. "Diversity" has nothing to do with different ships having different control systems and steering dynamics. It was the equivalent of having a driver overcorrect in their first time out in a car with power steering when they have only driven vehicles without it. So there was a near collision on the ground at an airport. Wasn't the first time. In 1991, it became a real collision so I guess diversity prevented one. And of course, some things that we have been fortunate not to have happened recently in the US since diversity training used to happen with greater frequency, so I guess being told not to be a dick to people different than you is keeping planes from falling from the sky:
Bottom line, the author of the article is against diversity focused hiring practices and used horseshyte to defend his position.
