Here’s proof Washington politicians don’t give a damn about our problems, and assume we’re dumb enough to swallow whatever they serve up.

After a seaside vacation at the ritzy Alpemare Beach Club in Tuscany, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has returned to the nation’s capital to roll out more episodes of the House’s Jan. 6 Committee televised miniseries this Tuesday and Thursday.

Pelosi’s head must still be stuck in the Tuscan sand.

How else could she think Americans want to watch a scripted, partisan docudrama produced at their expense about something that happened 18 months ago? The public wants Congress to solve their most painful problem: soaring food, gas and electric prices.

Pelosi doesn’t feel that pain. She was dining on entrees at Alpemare that cost up to $150 a plate, while Americans back home were picking through the meat counters at their supermarket looking for affordable options. The cost of a summer barbecue is up 17% over last year for burgers, hot dogs and other humble fare. Forget steak.

Forget driving to the seashore or a lake for a swim. Not with today’s gas prices.…

…Why would anyone watch this unapologetically rigged process about a topic that pales in comparison to watching your quality of life and future plans destroyed by soaring prices?

Americans under 50 have not lived through inflation and the fear it instills. But President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, both in their 70s, and Pelosi, now in her 80s, were already in power when inflation struck during the Carter years…

It is pathetic that the swamp creatures are trying to entertain with circuses rather than actually attempt to solve real problems that we face. Inflation is devastating to ordinary Americans. The democrats President and congressional leaders are personally familiar with what inflation in the late 1970’s looked like. They brought this upon us before and are trying to divert our attention from them doing it to us again.

No one cares about their one sided biased side shows. We want congress to cut spending, taxes, regulations, and increase oil and natural gas production to get us through this democrat caused mess

Pelosi is an evil ice cream princess. A total vindictive wicked witch.

I wonder if rightists cried this hard 40 years ago when their beloved Reagan was in charge the last time it was this high.

The money supply? It has never been this high. St. Louis Fed could have told you that.

I have significant disagreements with Reagan, yes. I can only speak for myself, not "rightists".

We replacedCarter over this inflation and elected Reagan to fix it and he did until Biden came along to replay Carter

Yeah, inflation was this high 2 years into his presidency. Try again.

As if it could be made to end overnight. But I’m not a liberal so I understand economic reality.

Structural inflation NEVER comes on quickly. What we're seeing now is WARTIME inflation. We are in the Ukraine war as much as the rest of the world, we just have no soldiers fighting there.

The US has been in some war or another for longer than I've been alive, iirc there was about 1-2 years in which we were actually not at war with someone, otherwise we've been in constant war mode my whole life +. To blame this on "wartime inflation" is just pure BS. (right now we're still in Syria and Somalia)
