Do you? Here's a hint. It correlates to lung health which is the big issue in how deadly the corona virus is.

Hint: when you stop breathing they don't send you to rehab.

And one patient in one ICU bed will take 5 nursing staff to care for them 24/7 over a week - work it out - icu is one on one for nursing care - work it out for yourself. 3 shifts a day over seven days and add in sick leave, fatigue leave and support staff and it is roughly five staff per patient multiply that by 877 and in nursing staff alone you will see a strain on the system

Hint: the reason you stop breathing from this virus is due to poor lung care in italy due to socialized medicine.

As well as heart disease, which has a higher COVID-19 death rate than those with bad lungs. In other words, a bad heart is deadlier than bad lungs for this virus. But for the young and healthy, hardly a wheeze, barely a cough, and scarcely a sniffle. And that's who is being locked up. Not the sick and dying, but the frigging healthy.

We have 6000 hospitals. 877 patients means that we would add 1 patient to 14% of those hospitals. This is silly. There is nothing to argue. There is certainly a point where our system could start to be strained, but that point would probably be at a point where each of those 6000 hospitals had at least 10 new ICU cases which is not a number that would sink them by any means. That would mean 60,000 ICU cases, and that would create a strain not an overwhelming of the system.

To sit here and discuss 877 like it would sink us is truly silly. When you consider that 877 doesn't even mean ICU cases... it is even sillier. There is nothing here to legitimately argue.

I want neither. There is only one moral choice, free market. Every other system starts with a gun pointed at someone's head to pay for someone else's sins and errors.

One factor affecting the country’s death rate may be the age of its population—Italy has the oldest population in Europe, with about 23% of residents 65 or older, according to The New York Times. The median age in the country is 47.3, compared with 38.3 in the United States, the Times reported. Many of Italy’s deaths have been among people in their 80s, and 90s, a population known to be more susceptible to severe complications from COVID-19.

No, they don't, but retarded government officials and retarded citizens think something is helping, and that's what really counts

That is why it should be called "idiotology "

That's because it wasn't intended to.
It was aimed at his comment about heart disease and cancer.

Their social distance parameters are different, too. The elderly almost all live with their families fulltime. If anybody else in the family is asymptomatic or has it, the elders are going to get it with their odds of dying being very high.

Not to mention the hundreds of people with a sniffle or a cough that is not infected. We are fortunate so far Alabama has no cases confirmed yet. But hand sanitizer is kinda hard to find and my doctors office was swamped.... everybody seemed to be wearing masks. My doctor asked me about it and I told her I wasn't worried. I didn't drink Mexican beer. A bad pandemic will happen sooner or later. It is inevitable. I wish not to be Prince Prospero.

They have awesome health care in Italy, just don't ask my friend's Aunt ( the widow) after a visit to Italy. Her husband had a heart attack and laid on the street for nearly 40 minutes before an ambulance came, with drivers, not EMT's. They pretty much told her that it was his time to go and go he did. His doctor here said he would have lived 100% certain if the same heart attack happened ANYWHERE in this country. But keep living the national health care fantasy if makes people feel good.

China built 2 hospitals in under 2 weeks and marched in 30,000 healthcare professionals in response

Trump is restricting test and reluctant to dock a ship with those stricken to keep the numbers down ........... Trump spinning while people are dying

The White House has ordered federal health officials to treat top-level coronavirus meetings as classified, an unusual step that has restricted information and hampered the U.S. government’s response to the contagion, according to four Trump administration officials.
