    You should be !!!
This is going to explode in the USA and engulf many of us .
It’s terrifying as it can just spread in the air !!
Some say it will fizzle, but this could be as bad as the “Spanish Flu”

I guess time will tell and fast

I'm not worried. We shouldn't make light of anyone dying but this disease seems to have a death rate of under 3%. The flu is estimated to have a death rate of 2%. I'm frankly baffled at people's reactions. I suspect that something else is going on.

Not me. The risk of dying from the Corona Virus increases with age and poor physical condition. It's like flu. Many people also die from it.

The media is again making money from your fear. Don't let them fool you. :)

Anyone that doesn't see the pandemic already on the horizon is simply ignorant to how easy it can happen.

We live in the mountains and avoid going to town when possible. We try to limit our trips to once a month. We have not had a cold or the flu since 2006. As for us I am not concerned but I am for friends. Children pass stuff around. They are like little self propelled bio hazards. I fear for young children the most. So far it's not an issue to freak out about however.

Er, no. The death rate from the flu itself is virtually nil. Death is absolutely rare in otherwise healthy adults. Those that succumb to the flu directly are generally small children, and adults over 65 with other health issues. Death from complications from the flu such as pneumonia is a different animal. That rate is about .001%, or about one in one thousand cases.

Trusting numbers from the authoritarian CCP is laffable. The death rate they reported is 2.1%, and this rate didn't change day to day for weeks on end which is a statistical anomaly at best, and highly likely fraudulent on the low side. Anecdotally, it appears the death rate from CONVID-19 infection in China is at least 10% with many being asymptomatic until near death. This from Iran, “In the whole country, 47 have been diagnosed with Covid-19. Unfortunately, 12 of them have died of the disease so far,” said the spokesman for the Iranian parliament, Assadollah Abbasi, contradicting the reports out of Qom. So, it appears that the death rate in Iran is 25%-ish of those diagnosed.

For an inside look at China, and their fight against the virus, I suggest following these Twitter accounts:
    https://twitter.com/hotnickels
    and
https://twitter.com/jenniferatntd (who is reporting that the Chinese are now cremating infected people while alive.)

ETA: That the air pollution over Wuhan has seen a dramatic increase in SO2 (Sulfur Dioxide) in recent weeks. SO2 is a pollutant from burning organic material.

You also live in a country which relies on Chinese medicine and medical supplies. Those supply lines are shutting down.

And come to think of it, China has uhc and a national approach.

Nice data, thorough post. Can you link the flu part though? I thought I had read a good source on flu deaths by pneumonia. Also, covid fataliies appears to also be classified as a pneumonia.

Another thing we might consider is confirmed cases vs. actual cases. It appears that you are correct about the 1/3rd thing in some countries but it’s not considering how many people are infected and don’t go to the hospital.

In my case, I was coughing a little bit for like two days. Did I have coronavirus? The news had me wondering but I’m already recovered, so I’ll probably never know.

Hard to tell. China doesn't give us the truth, they try to minimize things. Wall Street panics and stops panicking fairly quick but right now they're panicking over the CV so we'll see what the future holds.

As far as being worried, I'm currently not worried.

China's numbers track most other countries' numbers so they probably aren't covering up anything big.

No, I am more worried about which psychotic triggered deranged individual from right or left party is targeting me for wearing a hat or T shirt or what type bicycle I have and running over me with their car, or shooting with a gun cause they decided I look like an “illegal alien”

The China flu's kill rate is lower than the common (not-bioengineered) flue. Most people experience symptoms akin to the common cold. However, it kills some people and seriously harms others. Some people never become symptomatic and yet remain infectious to others.

What does concern me is how well it works to control huge populations. As I type, 10% of the world's population is under some sort of medical quarantine. That's more than twice the population of the United States.
What does concern me is that, if this is proved to be bioengineered, the communists will flip the script and claim that the US unleashed it on China,

This is more potent that the flu
    It kills at 4 percent
Flu is 1 percent or less

I agree that something else is going on. At the same time, We should neither ignore it or freak out over it.

Agree here, also. This is what I think is the "something else" that's going on. We're human, and we're prone to fears, especially when the media uses such things as revenue generators. Our concerns become click bait.
