OP didn't mention prisons. By 'dissapear' I meant murder. But prison is just as likely, so fair enough.

Prisoners will probably get better care than many citizens, though they'll also likely be at a higher risk.

 

Given the 'foodmarket' it supposedly came from is basically within sneezing distance of the Wu Han lvl 4 bioweapons lab, that is a real possibility.

 

I think it would be an extremely ambitious move for the Chinese to release a virus deliberately, in their own country no less.

I don't deny they have reason to, but their reasons against is a very long list.

I can absolutely see this getting out due to negligence and them covering it up however.

I need more evidence for either of these substantial claims. At this point it is not more than a hunch, a suspicion.

 

I could say it's Engineered, China did have the same culture and eating habits for thousand of years, my question is why only now are they infected by these zoonotic disease when they are already eating/consuming bat soups or pangolin barbecue since long time? smells fishy to me.

 

The real figure, as you say correctly, is unknown. My guess is as good as anybody's.
