Yes, she was explained that if someone dies with Covid-19 then the cause of death is Covid-19. She is not (as you mistakenly think) saying that anyone and everyone with Covid-19 is counted.

What she IS saying, is that unlike "some countries" if someone goes to the ICU with Covid-19 and dies, that death is not being mistakenly attributed to any underlying condition they might have. Instead, it is correctly attributed to Covid-19. This should be patently clear from the quote that you yourself have posted:

There are other countries that if you had a preexisting condition and let's say the virus caused you to go to the ICU and then have a heart or kidney problem some countries are recording as a heart issue or a kidney issue and not a COVID-19 death... if someone dies with COVID-19 we are counting that as a COVID-19 death.​

Which is why Fauci follows up by saying, "I can't imagine if someone with coronavirus goes to an ICU and they have an underlying heart condition and they die, they're going to say cause of death: heart attack".

And again, this is underpinned by death certification whereby the cause of death must be the actual cause of death. If Covid-19 was not the cause of death it cannot be given as such.

Yesterday the US reported it's most deaths in a single day yet at 2,407.

According to hospital officials, doctors, public health experts and medical examiners, we are under reporting the overall number of deaths from the coronavirus. It is quite probable that this virus is actually killing more Americans than 9/11 every day

Whether it's correct to attribute all deaths of those diagnosed with covid to covid even if the person has a heart attack is not the issue I brought up. I merely stated that's how it's being done and my link proved that and you by defending that method are agreeing with my initial comment on the subject.
Some other countries are not using this method which of course lowers their mortality rate.

I'm not arguing the facts. I think someone pointed out that more die every month from heart problems than have died in 2 months of coronavirus so the facts seem pretty clear. Another pointed out that in the instant someone dies of (I don't remember what he said but let me say) an infection caused by a hang-nail, in that instant, if you only measure that instant, then death by hang-nail is the most common cause of death.

But, as I said, I don't care one way or another. A lot of people are dying. If the numbers are 50% low or 50% high, the numbers are too frigging much for the families of the dead to bear.

I'm not going to provide Democratic talking points or use links from politically slanted sources. It does take time though to put together the data and then write out all the details properly. Hence, why I'll get back when I have time to do it correctly. You are not interested in facts but only spin, but I'll get back to you. Unfortunately we are not talking about a single death, yesterday over 2,400 Americans were reported dead from the virus, and the day before yesterday was another 2,400 dead. The day before that was more than 1,500 dead, the day before that was another 1,500 dead, the day before that was over 2,000 dead, the day before that was over 1,900 dead, the day before that was another 1,900 dead, and so on. The reason for the increase in deaths is due to how broad the virus has spread, if the virus continues to spread, the daily rate at which Americans are dying will increase. We are not likely to see this trend change until we contain this virus. Decreasing the virus' outbreak to what it was in early March in itself would save thousands of American lives each day
