Cosby admits he bought drugs to give women for sex

So he would not have to be convicted in a court of law to a rapist. And we in the public arena can make up our own minds based on the evidence. Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law is to prevent LEGAL sanctions being applied and is between the justice system and the accused.

Cases like this we have to use our own judgement carefully as for as far as I know there haven't been any legal depositions under threat of perjury, other than his. I stand to be corrected on that. IF they come forth then we weigh them against each other and the statements of Cosby. The only thing I have taken exception to so far is the claim that his statement about obtaining Quaaludes in order to have sex with women is prima facie evidence of rape.

 

I don't recall any charges of rape or sexual assault against Gingrich nor his threats against any women nor his wife enabling his sleazy behavior but engaging in the intimidation of the women. Gingrich had to marriages fall apart, he fell in love with someone else and he divorced and married to women who had entered his life. Had that simply been the case with Hillary, Bill met someone while hanging out at Greg Norman's place in Florida, he and Hillary's marriage had fallen apart so they divorce and he married his new sweetheart, there would have been relatively little scandal unless he attempted to lie about it in the interrogatory for the divorce.

But the Clinton sexual abuse scandal was something far different wasn't it.

And BTW the Republicans DID force Gingrich out after his personal life became and issue, so you only go to further my point. Why didn't the Democrats force Clinton out and why do they worship him and put him on a pedestal and present him as one of their leaders? Why do they go after Cosby but adore Clinton and his enabling wife.

 

The women accepted the Qualudes, no one forced them to take it. They wanted to get high, and as far as we know the sex was implied was consensual.

 

Yep...........as far as we know. Now if he slipped them into a drink or something....a different story.

 

Just a few days ago I was listening to one of the women who said Cosby gave her a cup of coffee. Right after she took the 1st drink, she immediately felt the effects of the drug leaving her weak, woozy and limp and she knew right away she had been drugged......

 

A woman may want to get high, but that doesn't mean she also wants to have sex. Way to many women have come forward w/the same story, women who didn't even know each other.........

If Cosby is innocent of rape, why hasn't he come forward and denied these allegations? Not a word.....we've only heard dead silence from him. An innocent man accused of drugging, raping women would NOT hide in the shadows very silently, having nothing to say, only having his attorney speak for him. Not the men I've known. They'd be on their feet, demanding facts, dates, places, the women and himself taking a polygraph.....anything, everything to prove his innocence. He would be fighting LIVID and not be quiet about it.

Now some guilty men would try to put on a show by staging anger and denials, but the bottom line is there's a big difference b/t the body language of the guilty and innocent......and their silence is a dead giveaway of guilt.

 

True, true, true.....there are men who truly have integrity and morals and those men don't feel the need to preach it......

And I'll say it again - any guy who remains very silent behind these accusations, like Cosby is doing, is hiding, scared and hoping it'll go go away.

 

Gingrich resigned because his failed leadership resulted in Republican losses in 1998, not because of his deviant lifestyle. Still, he was pushing the morality card while engaging in adultery and divorcing repeatedly. Clinton is married to the same lady.
