Because the reporters and producers behind the story in question did so much more quickly and succinctly than she could unless she spent a relatively large chunk of her (precious) time typing. Two subsequent investigations and prosecutions followed. All of which means there is a lot of background and detail to get through. Then add in the events and politcal maneuvering that unfolded following Hamas's attack? In short it gets complicated. 15 minutes is a masterclass in abbreviating 10 years of Israeli and middle eastern politics.

 

Then start three separate threads. All this sounds like the political prosecutions that Trump is going through right now. Allegations and investigations are meaningless. And, Gaza's defensive forces are NOT using mosques, schools and hospitals as operations bases.

Their operations bases are in the tunnels that permeate Gaza.

You are listening to IDF excuses for slaughtering doctors, nurses and patients and blowing up Gaza's hospitals.

The Shifa hospital excavations have found patients with IVs still attached, doctors shot in the back of the head, and human remains that have been run over with tanks.

The IDF is slaughtering humans - not fighting a war.

The very concept is too stupid for words. The IDF will shoot anyone. There is nobody that could be used as a shield to prevent IDF from shooting.

The IDF have even shot a few hostages they have found, as they don't bother trying to ID humans they shoot.

 

Palestine has long stated that Israel is permanent.

They are not pushing back Israel back by one inch. And, they are not trying to do so.

President Abbas has worked for peace through negotiations only. He gained he trust of the IDF, who considered him important to their mission of nonviolence.

That has worn thin, as the USA and Israel have made sure that a negotiated settlement can not happen, even just in West Bank.

 

A two state solution is not possible. The last two decades in Gaza prove this. The only hope for a peaceful existence of civilians in both Gaza and the West Bank is joint governance by Israel and resident civilians with security provided by the IDF. Keep the PLO out of any participation regardless of any directives from the United Nations.

 

Hamas started the war against Israel in 2007 acter Israel left in 2005, Hamas violently overthrew the PLO government, and began launching rockets into Israeli neighborhoods. Hamas committed both an act if war and war crimes. The Israeli blockade was in response to the Hamas acts of war. You know all this but continue to claim that the Gaza conflict is the fault of Israel. Why is that?

Israel has proven itself totally unqualified to administer even just West Bank, as their administration is to bulldoze the homes of Palestinians and rule using IDF/military law. NOBODY sees that as a legitimate direction.

What has been offered is a staged ceasefire moving to independence over a period of months.
