This is asinine. I tend to believe that reasonable minds can differ on the abortion question. If people don't like living in a state that has strict abortion laws, they can always just move to another state.

But that isn't the case for military personnel. They rarely get to decide where they are posted. So I think it makes sense to cover the travel expenses of defense personnel who are forced to seek abortion services in other states. Why do republicans oppose this?

If they are that careless while serving they can pay for it themselves.

Do we really want people that are so stupid they dont understand how a baby is made serving in the arm forces?

Or in Congress. But that would bar most Republicans, so it wouldn’t fly.

Because you don’t get to take republican tax payer money to help someone commit murder. Atleast not without pushback.

Republicans would rather destroy this nation, just like Trump, acting like children.

Sure you do, you think states with legal abortion don’t have Republican tax payers?

Freedom =/= the right to murder children/babies. And yes, I know, you don't consider them children or babies. Or at least many on the pro-choice side don't. Pro-life folks however do. Whether you agree with them or not is irrelevant. They have their stance which is diametrically opposed to the pro-choice stance. This is one case where there is no grey. It is black or white, nothing in between. You can rail at them. You can make up lies about wanting to control women. Or the lie you told in your other post of people on the right not wanting soldiers to live in their state. It won't change anything. And all that doing such does is show that you are not being honest in your arguments.

Idiot is not even thinking in terms of TOTAL reproductive health care and that includes safe and thorough maternity care. Republicans are so focussed on “saving embryos” that they are increasing maternal mortality. No wonder they are about as popular as a fart in an elevator

What part of REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE is difficult? That is not only abortion it is OBGYN services and fertility services and even good paediatric services for the baby itself - you know the stuff the GOP does not normally like “wasting money” on

And you know darn well that the block is only because of abortion services being provided. Not any of those others. Trying to imply, or state, otherwise is also dishonest. Take out abortion and offer the rest of the services and there would be no objection and you know it.

And if they are raped? How about the pregnant woman with an incomplete miscarriage who needs a D&C? How about the pregnant woman with a risky pregnancy who cannot access OBGYN services because they have mostly left the state?

Yeah? So? You think the article from CNN is going to frame it any other way? You think they're going to be honest and say that if they stopped offering abortion services then this Tuberville guy would no longer have an objection? Get real. Its all about the framing and you know it. If you don't then you have no business using your brain on any political subject. CNN got the memo. They're no longer calling "abortion" abortion. They're calling it "Reproductive Health Care" in order to murk up what the situation is really about and gin up outrage just like you and the OP are displaying.

I think the “Tuberville guy” is like the rest if the GOP. He “cares” about embryos and foetuses but beyond that they can suffer. If this were not the case then the maternal mortality rates would not look like this

If I were in the US armed services and pregnant I would be begging for transfer to Darwin.

Not everyone shares your belief that abortion is murder. And military personnel should not be forced to adhere to that dumb belief just because they happened to be assigned to one of the ass-backward states in the union.

It isn't the job of our armed forces to help female troops get abortions. Our tax dollars shouldn't pay for that.

At least Republicans now know they have a say about abortion. They didn't with Roe-v-Wade.

The Leftists could donate money to an NPO that pays the abortion bills.
