    By using the defention of liberals and conservatives, I'm right. Conservatives would have supported slavery, and afterwards limited rights. For another example, Brazil. The rich conservative planter class, wanted to maintain slavery.

    Liberals, would have supported the enlightenment ideas that all men are created equal. But even liberals still have a little bit of conerservative in them, and in the end, only the radical ever thought African Americans would be able to intergrate into a white soceity.

    What you're essentially trying to do is deflect from PN's look at history because you can't debate facts like the Ku Klux Klan was created by radical Liberals or that Jim Crowe laws were also enacted by Liberals. I don't need to go off on your tangents because they're not based on facts. When you want to come to the table with something factual, get back to us. I'm also tired of all this nonsense about everything being that long ago. I might remind people that Jim Crowe laws were in play in the the 60's. Affirmative Action was also in play just last decade, and as much as Liberals want to say this were a good thing, it was not.

    Anyone who wants to look at what the Democratic and Republican Parties stand for today, doesn't have to look that hard to see the truth.

    And it is certain that 2012 won't be the year that African Americans, other minorities, the elderly or the poor... will make some massive migration to the "Republican" Party.

    Regardless of what some think this thread is saying... reality is, what is.
