Have your gas appliances actually been outlawed? No
Have your gas cars actually been outlawed? No.

The vaccinations are NOT "dubious" and COVID-19 is understood. Maybe not by you but by those who need to understand it.

It was understood before it even made it's appearance.

I'm not the left, and I call him a wannabe dictator because he tried to overthrow democracy, bud. And our gas appliances, transportation, and power generating systems have not been outlawed. What planet do you live on? And NO POLITICAL FIGURE in the US has forced the vaccinations outside of government employment requirements . . . which were already a thing. Why do you think that these things are important but that democracy is not?

The only people who don't buy it are those who run and hide the moment they are asked to do five seconds of homework.

It was all planned this way ever since the 2020 (s)election fraud was planned. This "insurrection" thing was planned as the response for if/when people took a stand against it. The word 'insurrection' was purposely used to falsely describe J6 so that it could be falsely linked to the 14th Amendment provision that was about the War of Northern Aggression and not about the unwillingness to condone election fraud.

Let's also be clear that it's not "Republicans" who they are going after... They are going after anyone who supports MAGA (America First) specifically (like they did with the Tea Party). They aren't going after Nikki Haley (they LOVE her). They aren't going after DeSantis (they LOVE him). Why? Because those people ultimately play for the same team as they do.

You'll do till the left shows up. I live on this one but I pay attention and miss less that way.

Real Democracy isn't a flag to wrap ones self in, it's something to value and share, even with those you disagree with. It isn't designed to be lock step, if done right it will include several factions with differing views and allow them to live and govern through it. It has seen us through some tough times and will probably see us through the current mess as well.

Then why was it okay for Trump and his team to say that SEVERAL STATES should just be left out of the election entirely? Why is democracy okay for you, but not the people of Colorado?

It doesn't matter how much objective reality upsets you. The facts don't care about your feelings. Trump tried to overthrow the government. Period. Objectively. He failed.

From what I have understood, they just want the insurrectionists off the ballots, and let GOP replace them with those who have have stood with America, and not against it.

If Dems had non-citizens, or those who are under 35 on the ballots, I would assume the GOP would remove them from the ballots too due to ineligibility.

Having said that, it does not look like this effort will go far (and same is true with GOP removing Dems from ballots), because the USSC is likely to rule that only Congress can enforce the 14th.

I reject your interpretation of 'the facts'. I reject your claim that Trump tried to "overthrow the government". it's akin to a kid with a drinking straw slapping an oak tree and have someone like you claim he was attempting to chop it down

one well known Legal scholar (A Haley supporter) has opined-convincingly-that Trump was not engaged in "insurrection" and thus the efforts to remove him fail on that count as well

So you are okay with him trying to overthrow democracy because he was really lame and limp-wristed about it. I don't share that view. You also might want to take some time to look up what has been considered "insurrection" in our nation's legal past, because it has included railroad strikes.

will be up to the SC court to decide to remove him or not, the SC is right leaning, republicans will never hold Trump accountable, so you have nothing to worry about - Trump could shoot someone on 5th ave and still be on the ballot

just stop: I REJECT YOUR OPINION that Trump tried to overthrow democracy. and I trust the reasoning of Trump loathing law professor Steven Calabresi over your claim that Trump engaged in insurrection

I'm sure there are many opinions on the matter (every court has one lawyer arguing for and another against), but isn't the real issue the fact that only Congress can enforce (or remove) the restriction? If that's the case, then CO and MA are only wasting their time

And you rejecting my opinion that we landed on the moon will not change the fact that we did, indeed, land on the moon! I'm sorry you don't trust in objective truth and have to hide behind other "professors" who can't actually back up their claims.

Yes. Because Trump failed, they were able to vote.

Yes. Again. After Trump tried to have their votes thrown in the garbage. He failed. Colorado got to vote (and they weren't the only state) specifically because Trump's attempts to stop them from voting were stopped.

that is one of two strong grounds for the USSC to reject those partisan attempts to remove Trump. the other is that he did not participate in an "insurrection"

No, I reject your partisan opinion because it is contrary to known facts.
