By Ann Coulter Usually, I run right out and buy the latest Ann Coulter book as soon as it hits the shelves. This is not true for this book. For some reason, I don't know if it was the title or that I've been too busy, but I finally got this one today as a Christmas gift. From what I've heard about this book, it was inciteful and well timed given what has happened this year with the Occupy Wall Street movement. Have just read the sleeve, this does seem to be the case. So, what I intend to do in this thread is make a book review out of it. And, as I finish each chapter, I will write a brief review of it.
Chapter One: The Liberal Mob If the rest of this book is to be as precient as the first chapter, then you Ann Coulter haters ought to read this book, if only to recognize that someone for whom you profoundly disagree, may in fact be much more intelligent and wise than you have previously given her credit. It would be a benefit to you just to know your opposition and how we think. In this first chapter, Ann describes how liberal mob mentality works, how wealthy elitists liberals encourage the mob mentality and compares it to historical events. The funny thing is, she is describing the Occupy Wall Street crowd and their liberal leftist elitists like Michael Moore to a "T" long before there was an Occupy Wall Street movement. More to come.
The Mob's Compulsion to Create Messiahs Again Ann hits the nail on the head describing the mob mentality when they create a Messianic figure out of their leaders regardless of their all too human foibles. The tendency to use the initials of such "Rock Stars" of the democratic party, FDR, JFK, RFK, MLK, LBJ, and OJ. As she points out, Reagan was the best president we've had in the last 100 years or so, but you won't catch republicans calling him "RWR". The chapter is replete with liberals drueling over one democrat candidate after another. The things said were not meant to be humorous, but they are in fact quite amusing. They even when so far as to call Obama "The Savior", "The Messiah", and "The Messenger of Change". She rightly points out that if anyone had done anything slightly close to a republican candidate there would have been news reports for weeks about a return to fascism. Take a look at some of the leftist fascism worshiping Obama as a god: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI-BCbKuJGA"]Creepy Obama Worship - YouTube[/ame] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwG5MhVGQ6k"]"I Pledge Allegiance to Obama" - YouTube[/ame] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLqXclJQbjE"]school children indoctrinated - 11 more obama worship videos uncoverd - YouTube[/ame] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mopkn0lPzM8"]The One - YouTube[/ame] School Children Complain Of "Obama Worship" During Lessons http://infowars.net/articles/january2009/280109Obama_worship.htm School Kids Praise Obama and the State in Video http://www.mrctv.org/videos/school-kids-praise-obama-and-state-video
I wouldn't be too worried about OWS. They won't do anything incrediably violent (Take over a city for instance) And as for your worship, they're just one in a million bakas out there. And for the third video, wasn't there some scandal in Texas, where they were going to have textbooks ?
