No, they are a nation with identifiable characteristics.

Then their descendants should be identifiable. That is the line you take when studying your heritage I guess.

    What does that mean?

Jews were living all over the Arab world.. Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen.. They began leaving in waves in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973

Why do you suppose that after 2500 years they began leaving during those years?

Did you forget what you wrote? "It stands to reason that religion wasn't an issue."

Did I say that or is that your projection? Obviously you don't know what I 'think', as I have not expressed what I think: that is the cause of me asking you questions pertaining to the term 'reason', which you have evaded since my very first inquiry on the subject.

I didn't know what you were saying for a couple of posts.. you seemed to be criptic or coy over the word "reason"..

How so? I have been very blatant about the meaning of the word "reason" for quite some time now, and in probably close to 75 or more postings.

Now will you address the questions that I have posed?

    Maybe not..

    God promised.............

That Ephraim would return to Lebanon and Gilead, which is located in Western Jordan [Zech 10:7-10] However, the only people living in these areas now are the Arab peoples. The Palestinian Refugee camps are also located in these locations.

There will be no peace in that region, with Israel & its neighbors, until the coming of a 'false peace' prior to the Tribulation.

Anyone who is a scripturally-educated Christian and in U.S. foreign relations shud know that, and that all efforts in achieving 'peace' will be in vain. Even common sense and history of that area validate the futility of the efforts that the world nations strive for---and 'many' of the world nations to date have given up & already backed.

And so, when the 'false peace' does occur, get ready......!!

The tribulation was over in 73 AD.. The good news to the seven churches.. is that they survived.

Again, Margot, "you cant see the forest for the trees!' You dont recognize scriptural 'types' and therefore see THEM as the event instead of the actual spiritual event to come. Just as the OT Passover spoke of the death of Jesus the Lamb of God, the 7 churches of that time were types of the 7 churches leading into the return, the crusades were a type of the end time armies fighting over the Holy land, and the past antichrists (Nero et al) were types of the coming end-time Antichrist. I'm afraid that you have missed the spirit of the message of Revelation and are caught up in 'dead history'....will you be one of those who are 'looking for His return?" Or has He come only once and is gone, and we are now just treading water..?

I think that's a stretch.. The Passover was because the Jews were passed over when every firstborn in Egypt was killed.

The story of Exodus wasn't even written until the 7th century BC.. Its an epic morality tale about redemption..

And, crossing the Red Sea is about crossing the "chaos" (water in scripture) into relationship with God. "Slavery" in Egypt... was the bondage of ignorance.

    Nero was the anti-Christ.

The end of the world as they knew it did come... and a new age of Christianity emerged because of Jesus. The New Jerusalem is spiritual.

Unless that is ironic it is the most absolute - and disgusting - travesty of Christianity I have ever seen. Jesus told you to support child-murder, did he?

I would say that your statement is at best "a reach' at the meaning of my words; and at worst, an outburst and bloviation of your axe-grinding attempts to discredit a whole race in order to satisfy your biases. [IMG]

You are 'lost in the trees," and I dont mean Christmas trees..[IMG]

You are 'trapped' in history, blinding yourself from the coming events of the end times...And, likewise remember the scholarly Pharisees & Scribes were also 'blinded' from seeing Jesus as the Messiah promised in their writings. Knowledge is a wonderful thing if it is 'appropriated rightly'...in the case of scriptures, by the Teacher who leads us into all righteousness, aka the Holy Spirit.

And, BTW, not only was Jesus crucified on a 'cross' at Passover time, but during the 1st Passover, the blood of a lamb was splashed across the door lintel and down the sides, as in the strokes of a 'cross!' If you cant see that 'type,' may God open your spiritually blinded eyes, that have been made so by your 'stiff-necked ness'...again, you're 'lost in the trees'.

All the epic tales begin with the slaughter of children..

Pharaoh ordered all Jewish babies killed before Moses was put in the reeds.

    The Passover slaughter.

The Herod slaughter of babies when Jesus was born.

63 million Jewish babies were wrapped in Torah scrolls and burned by the Romans in the tiny village of Betar.

I know the story.. but the Exodus is a teaching narrative.. not history... for a dozen reasons that should be apparent.

Again, the OT prophetic scriptures of a Messiah were also 'apparent' to the Jewish scholars of His time, who demanded His death...

I'm done. As they say, "You can lead a horse to 'drink,' but you cant make him 'water'"....from the King OD Version of truthful sayings. [IMG]

I suppose that has meaning to you. Jesus spoke particularly about caring for the little ones. The zionist gunmen have deliberately murdered about 2,000 of them over the last ten years in an attempt to terrify their parents. There is only one race, called the human: rejoin it. What don't you understand here? My only bias is pro-decency: you should try it.

There were two Messianic expectations at the time..

The prevalent one was the expectation of an annointed warrior like David who would drive out the Roman occupiers.

The lesser expectation was of the Suffering Servant... Jesus demonstrated his radical theology in the Sermon on the Mount.

Slaughtering childrdn like in the epic tales I mentioned was NOT on the agenda.

I agree. They were blinded by their own desires,

Looks like they threw out the whole Book of Isaiah!

Being blinded by their own desires, they did miss the openness of a suffering servant...altho even Caiaphas the high priest speaking by the Holy Spirit said,

John 11:49-50 "And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all, nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish."

But just as Joshua (meaning, savior) was a type of Jesus Christ leading the ppl into the Promised land (a type of heaven), and Solomon in his glory was a type of Jesus Christ reigning in His heavenly kingdom, and the 'types' of spiritual things go on and on.....

I already gave you the 'types' of the 7 OT feasts that the Israelites were told to celebrate..besides Passover, mentioning 1st Fruits as Pentecost, etc.

But as scripture says, "For those who have ears to hear and eyes to see."

The promised land certainly wasn't heaven.. It was arid, stony and it was bandit territory.. conquered and destroyed repeatedly.. always occupied by some hostile foreigners. The city of Jerusalem had a population of about 30,000 at its height with 80,000 to 100,000 during religious holidays like Passover.

Man, Margot, you are hard to reach! "Types" are not the actual thing! They are 'typical' of the spiritual principle but not supposed to be the actual events, but only 'point' to them. As an example, if Abraham was allowed to 'slay' his beloved son Isaac, that would have violated 'types,' since the event would have occurred, & making the sacrifice of Jesus to no avail. It merely 'pointed' to the actual sacrificial event on the cross which was Jesus, the Christ.

I have a difficult time in understanding how there are those who can read the same scriptures as I do but miss the spiritual message behind them.

The scriptures as printed with ink on paper pages are but dead letter w/o the Spirit to give them life. All of the 'so-called' discrepancies must be understood by using the cover-to-cover consistency of the Holy Spirit behind them to fully understand their meanings. Some are unfulfilled 'mysteries' and not to be understood until their times.

Again, the printed word is dead letter to those who are not earnestly seeking truth but rather desire to pick them apart in the quest to discredit them. For 'them' it is all dead letter. And also, there are many in 'cemeteries,' or rather seminaries, who diagram them to death physically, but also miss the Spirit behind them.

But to those who seek out truth with a sincere heart, they are the very power of life, for today as well as eternally.
