Quote; “What Gingrich did was to limit increases in spending to less than the growth of the economy”

Correction; less than population growth rate + annual inflation rate.

Well, I’m not a mentally retarded partisan guy, thus, the honest truth is; A combination of tax increases and fiscal responsibility balanced the budget in the 90’s.

As a percentage of GDP, OMB uses Nominal GDP

In 1997, the budget was nearly balanced, and
as a percentage of Nominal GDP, Receipts amounted to 18.7%

    Thus, Trump’s 2018 and 2019’s dismal 16.4% minus Clinton’s 18.7% equates to minus 2.3%.

    1997 Nominal GDP; $8.451 Trillion X 2.3% =$196 billion

Thus, had Gingrich & Co’s receipts amounted to 16.4% of GDP, they wouldn’t have balanced the budget.

    Grade 5 Math…..for Pete’s sake!

LOL, you posted bad information. It was proved you posted bad or misinformation.
And now you must revert to but but but, if only A or B happened.

    Terrible deflection and denial.

'MATH IS HARD AND WHITE SUPREMACIST': Bribed Biden boasts about cutting federal budget deficit — as it soars.

'the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget projects that the federal deficit for fiscal 2023, which ends Sept. 30, will hit $2 trillion — roughly double what it was last year.'

'The Treasury Department’s data also show the year-to-date deficit as of July at about $1.61 trillion — meaning it’s already the highest ever when excluding the COVID-19 pandemic.'

'“The federal budget deficit will explode to $2 trillion this year — after Biden said it would decrease. “We need to control the runaway spending by this administration — and the budget fight this month is the time to do it,’’'

    Bribed Biden Lies.
