Cool. But I don't really get it. I have seen strange things in the sky. Do I think they are aliens? I am no more worried about them than I am about yellowstone, it is 600,000 years overdue to blow, we could all be wiped out any minute.

 

Approach it logically .
If they are friendly , they are dumb -- cannot communicate , but spend a lot of time making esoteric pictures in corn fields . And if a few nutters believe they have a deal with a Power Elite , there is no way we are going to be offered any part of the action .And the nutters will eventually over medicate .
If they are unfriendly , there is nothing we can do -- their power and intelligence will be literally light years ahead of us .

PS At least three of the so called UFO sightings are fake or can be easily explained . Read up on Occams Razor and decide whether it is really necessary to bring in Alien explanations before many other sorts of simpler explanations have been exhausted . imo .

It is highly probable that aliens exist but unless there is evidence of their meddling in human affairs in our past there is no real cause for concern as there existence and intentions would only be known if they decided to reveal it to us.

 

The nearest habitable planet is Gliese 581 c, which is 20.3 light years away from the earth. If a species has the technology to travel many light years, they must have the ability to hide themselves from stupid humans. All UFO sitings can be explained. It is not like the aliens accidentally turned off their cloaking device, "Hey ublat, you forgot to turn on the cloaking device." There is a possibility that aliens exist but our mentality should be, aliens don't exist until we see them.

Actually some of the crop circles are man-made. This is part of the strategy of cover up from the governments. Delibrately create mystery alien crop circles, then expose them, so people would think it must not be real, must be another jokes. To lead people away from the true thing. There are about 80 or so other and closer bodies, but accepting this would be habitable is certainly questionable. Being equal to five of Earths mass, would make your 200 pound weight about 1000 pounds, including your organs (heart/brain) and it would not adapt during descent, much less if you landed. Earthlings or human's (homo-sapians) evolved and continue to evolve according to our environment. If they had not developed a brain, the ability to reason, with there physical abilities, would never have survived. I'll add IMO, 30-50K years of evolving, with understanding makes that existence primitive at best.

Thread; IMO, there are probably trillions of planets in the Universe with some form of life, microscopic, if nothing else and many billions with some from of intelligent life, most probably more so than ours.

I don't believe they (certainly not looking anything like humans or Star Trec characters) have ever visited earth. Everything in the genetic make up of life forms, including plants, indicates a chain of evolvement based on earths environmental history.

Even with intelligence or what we call scientific understanding, thousands of times that of ours they would have limitations, life spans, biological needs or other limitations. What is possible are robotics created by intelligence, which is an entirely different issue.

 

With all those planets around there is little likelihood that we are the only planet with life. But there is essentially no chance that other beings could get here.

 

If we can go to the space, travel to moon, why can't other intelligent life do the same and come to the earth?

I agree. Statistically, it is impossible for life NOT exist in other planets in this massive universe.

We don't know how advance those life are. If they possess the knowledge of anti-gravity (according the obersavtion from the flying saucers, they fly zip-zap motion with high accelaration in silence, then disappear), they probably already have the knowledge of time travel and dimensions.

And if they can travel FTL why waste all that energy to spook people in the middle of the night?

 

FTL travel is theoretically impossible; you would need infinite energy just to get TO light speed. Plus, acceleration would be limited by the g-forces that the ship, and more importantly any life on it, could withstand. Likewise with deceleration.

Which is all very important, and doesn't even take into consideration the question of time dilation, which means that even if it WERE possible, the amount of time that would pass during the journey would be astronomically huge.

There are of course interesting ideas about methods of travel which "fold" space, so that a craft can travel from one point to another point instantaneously. It is entirely theoretical, and we have no idea if it is even possible, but it seems to be the only legitimate method of deep space travel imaginable, other than multi-generation travel over thousands of years, where the ship is self-sustainable.
