Many who support eugenics are actually more honest with themselves, understand their own flaws, and realize that these things are greatly mediated by genetics. One simply needs to understand how one is a product of genetics, see how it could be better, and then go from there. Anyway, eugenics was practiced in the form of arranged marriages, so there really is nothing new here.

We managed to do it with pigs, horses, chickens, dogs, and a number of other animals. I don't see why we can't do it now.

I don't think anyone on here is advocating anything remotely like this. I want to give dumb people and people who can't support themselves a $2500 cash payment and free IUD. It would be much cheaper than raising the kids and increase the average IQ and general competency of the population without hurting anyone.

 

The best thing would be to kill this idea that everyone has a right to breed. Why exactly should a poor couple or single mother be able to bring life into the world that they cannot care for without help from the state? You should need to meet a criteria to be able to get a license to breed. Being born into poverty is no gift and people should not have the so-called 'right' to do that to a life.
