I'm more concerned about our gangs here than the Mexican drug cartels to be honest. If I lived in Brownsville Texas or whatever then I would probably feel differently though..

    [IMG][IMG]

".....The (Mexican) government says more than 34,600 have been killed in the four years since President Felipe Calderón took office and threw the federal police and military at the cartels, with the toll for 2010, 15,237, the heaviest yet....

....A poll released Jan. 11 by Mexico’s national statistics institute found that more than 70 percent of respondents believed the country’s security had worsened since 2009.....

....With Republicans now in control of the House, the Obama administration will face renewed scrutiny to account for the $1.4 billion, multiyear Merida Initiative, http://www.state.gov/p/inl/merida/the cornerstone of American aid in Mexico’s drug fight....."

Who is fooling who? Again the U. S. Taxpayer picks up the tab because Mexico can not control itself.

Mexican drug cartels display themselves openly in Mexico,
and cross the U. S. Border with relative ease. Crossing the border
is part of their business cartel gangs know how to cross over.
If American citizens get in their way it is just too bad.

No, but the US government enforcing stupid laws such as ant-immigration and drug prohibition does.

If there is a single "No" in this survey, I am not keeping you informed.

    http://www.examiner.com/county-political-buzz-in-san-diego/arizona-rancher-murdered-by-illegal-immigrant-who-flees-to-mexico

Here is a link about an Arizona rancher who was killed in his home in the United States 25 miles from the border by an illegal who ran back across the border. This link alone should cause every answer in this survey to be "yes."

    American citizen, Robert Krentz,
murdered on his ranch by Mexican illegals.

Then of course we know who it is that encourages the "No" answers - Pro Mexico posters who want to see American tourists back on Mexico beaches. Too bad Mexico, until you clean up your mess, Americans are not going to risk their lives to get a sun tan in Mexico! Some see the exit of American tourists as another step for war between the United States and Mexico, and I agree.

There are plenty of places to resort in the Caribbean that are secure enough to bring a family for a vacation.

Sure, but the CIA is running the drugs right now under the AAE. So the mexican cartels are competition to them. The AAE doesn't want to out law drugs because they make to much money which they use for anti American ops. But they have a problem, they have competing criminals.

    http://www.thepeoplesvoice.org/TPV3/Voices.php/2011/02/16/mexican-drug-cartels-officially-declare-

It really makes me wonder if some U. S. Citizens can not read when real concerns come out in headlines.

Mexican Drug Cartels “officially” declare open war on US Federal Agents and the US government officials inside of Mexico?

With no fear of reprise the Nacros have notched up the drug war inside of Mexico to now include an open declaration of killing Americans that work for, or have anything to do with the US Federal government operating inside of Mexico.

On the heels of the recent daylight assassination inside of Mexico of one US Federal Special Agent Jaime J. Zapata and the attempted murder of his partner who was fortunate enough to have survived the attack (but who now struggles for his life in a local hospital), there is a clear indication that the drug cartels mean business and they stand behind their word as the escalating violence has reached a new high.

Mexican-American citizen Jamie J. Zapata joined ICE because he "wanted to make a difference."
Now he is dead due to Mexican drug cartels who look like human beings, but are nothing more than animals.

Look closely America, this is the work of Mexican drug cartels.
They look like human beings, but are predatory animals.

And how does the Heroin get into the US?
I assume you grow Coco plants in your backyard? I agree you can grow marijuana in your backyard but not in the volume that is coming across the border.
Ridiculous: causing or worthy of ridicule or derision; absurd; preposterous; laughable. Hmmmm tell that to the over 1000 people that died in Mexico in 2010

I think you are out trolling

Materials Required: Cocaine powder, teaspoon, measuring cup, pan, baking soda.
Pour about an ounce of cocaine in the measuring cup.
Add about a teaspoon of baking soda.
Fill with about 3/4 cup of water.
Pour the mixture into the pan.
The mixture will start to bubble. Get a knife and flatten the bubbles.
Continue to flatten the mixture while cooking it.
Continue to flatten the mixture while cooking it.
Cook it until it is solid white.
Continue to cook it until it is solid white.
Place the solid form of cocaine on a towel or napkin to drain.
Place rocks in freezer for 15-20 minutes.
Place rocks in freezer for 15-20 minutes.
Congratulations you have successfully made crack cocaine.

    They ship it.

    See my above post

By ridiculous, I mean more dangerous, and calling me a troll doesn't make my argument less valid. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, and thats fine, but don't try to dumb down the conversation..

The Drug Cartels have increased violence since Mexico has been successful at capturing and killing a lot of the heads of the drug cartels. They are fighting with each other over who will now run things which has increased the violence. This is not unexpected and the U.S. has its own examples of going after gangs and organized crime where the groups got more violent as the heads got thrown in jail or killed.

And just where do the shipments enter into the US and who brings them in?

I think you better read your original post. You said that you can make cocaine in your kitchen; However, in your above post your main ingredient was cocaine. I think you have been out in the sun a little too long.

Trolling the way I meant it was to put forth an argument that you hoped would get someone to bite on a incongurent statement. ie fishing.
So you say that the US gangs are less dangerous than the Mexican drug cartels....better watch that sun exposure.

Through ports. Miami is infamous for this..

Mexico isn't in South America. Again, most of this is shipped and received at our ports..

Thats the complete opposite of what I said. I said US Gangs pose a bigger problem for us then Mexican drug cartels. I don't see the cartels as much of a threat if they stay down in Mexico..

Is it just me, or is this survey fixed?

Look at this headline from one of the best known national wire services, and we are supposed to believe that Americans are not afraid of Mexican Drug Cartels?

Clearly, there is a Mexican propaganda machine at work in this thead!

Someone does not want America to know the truth! Keep it up. Unfortunately, there are many more headlines like this to post!

Six Americans killed in Mexico's drug war city

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/11/04/us-mexico-usa-drugs-idUSTRE6A35AQ20101104

    By Julian Cardona

"CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico | Thu Nov 4, 2010 7:30pm EDT

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (Reuters) - Gunmen have killed six U.S. citizens in separate attacks since Saturday in the violent border city of Ciudad Juarez, the U.S. consulate said on Thursday, as Mexico struggles to halt surging murders.

University of Texas students Manuel Acosta and Eder Diaz, who studied at the El Paso campus just across the border from Ciudad Juarez, became the latest victims when they were gunned down as they drove through the city on Tuesday.

The slayings followed the deaths of four Americans, including a woman who died of multiple gunshot wounds inside a tortilla shop on Saturday.

Two other U.S. citizens died on Saturday in a hail of gunshots aimed at their car."

This is a picture of one of the dead American citizens.
Anyone have a problem believing the Mexican threat is real?
The evidence just keeps on coming!

whoa chill out on the big red letters, man, we are literate and can and do read the little (default) text.

I think this is all hype, and your big red letters and vulgar imagery is part of this hype machine. Any other cause on here needs no such advertising, to make its point.

here is how you stay safe from the Mexican criminals: stay out of Mexico. If you are thinking there is another Pancho Villa down there leading raids into Texas and Arizona, then I think you need to put the kool-aid down for a moment and take a break and think about it, and it will become clear to you.

I live in Tucson and I've never seen a cartel member. Or, maybe I've seen one and just haven't seen him selling coke or murdering anybody.

I suspect sooner or later we'll see 15 swarthy-lookin' people with their arms twist-tied behind their backs with bullets in their brain pans, but I haven't seen anything resembling that yet. The occasional individual drug murder but nothing more.

Reputed Mexican drug cartel czar charged in killing of US agent
Wednesday, December 21, 2011 WASHINGTON — A reputed Mexican drug cartel leader was charged in federal court in Washington in the ambush slaying this year of a U.S. immigration officer in Mexico - a killing that set off a massive search on both sides of the Southwest border for several assailants after it was learned that one of the weapons was illegally purchased at a gun store in the Dallas area.
