Okay, so who pays the billions in reparations? It should be the DNC, since it was the Democratic Party who wrote those black codes, and wrote the continuation of slavery into their official party platform, more than once. In fact, some of those Democrats who were responsible for passing those laws, and fighting against Civil Rights are still alive today, still respected Democrats.

another government program is not a solution.

Socialism is about equal protection of the law. Employment is at the will of either party in our at-will employment States. Labor should be able to apply for unemployment compensation for simply being unemployed.

too lazy to indulge economics over stereotypes in modern times?

Capitalism's natural rate of unemployment does that.

That's right. Just like those lazy slaveowners who lived off the labor of their slaves.

Nobody was better at enslaving Black Africans than other Black Africans. And it had been going on for literally thousands of years before Black Africans started selling them to White Europeans!

It can be argued truthfully that the Black Africans who became slaves in the Americas were treated about the same (or slightly better) than Black African slaves that remained in Africa. Slaves were relatively expensive in America, and it was important to keep them healthy and productive so they could work and have babies (a growth industry!)

But reparations? Total bullshit! They were given citizenship, and the right to be free, equal American citizens. Truly, the descendants of slavery (which ended 154 years ago in the United States) live MUCH better, MUCH different lives than if their ancestors had gone on living in Africa in thatched huts, eating wild animals, practicing slash-and-burn agriculture, and living a stone-age existence.

Yeah, everyone is equal in the eyes of the state. All citizens are slaves working for the state; get in line, shut up, do what government tells you to do..... or else you'll be punished.

Women are nothing but slaves, in the most strict sects of Islam.

In my post above, you could swap out Islam for the government, with some sects

From descendants of the Trans Sahara Slave Trade?

    Sure, why not?

Would that bankrupt those African countries and descendants of islam that enslaved blacks in conquered territories and after 700 years they opened up their slave industry to Europe which began the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade?

Do we learn that during black patronizing month that liberals call "black history?"

    That's correct.

    Tabari IX:113

"Allah permits you to shut them in separate rooms and to beat them, but not severely. If they abstain, they have the right to food and clothing. Treat women well for they are like domestic animals and they possess nothing themselves. Allah has made the enjoyment of their bodies lawful in his Qur'an."

    Short answer:

    Of Course, Yes.

Background History in Support of Short Answer:

Firstly, you would need to separate the West Africans who were thrust into Slavery in America, from the Indigenous Tribes that were already here on both North and South American soil as many as 12,000 years before Columbus was sent as the search and destroy point-man by Pope Innocent (ironic) VIII. There was more than route to "The Americas" for Original Humans as they migrated from the Mother Continent in several waves throughout History, going back to as far as 150,000 years ago or more. In addition, King Abu Bakr II, renounced his thrown in Mali, and took nearly 200 ships across the Atlantic in search of what Ancient Original Humans believed to be what you now call the North American Continent. Whether all or just some of those Explorers arrived in 1400, is not fully understood. But, we know for a fact that artifacts on both North and South American land masses demonstrate archaeological proofs that Ancient Original Humans were already here - some were known as the Olmec, but there were others as well. You been told that they were "Indians."

Now, about reparations. You may not be descended from African Slaves. You could be descended from the Aboriginals who were already here and who fought against enslavement. Those where were already here would not be taken into slavery. This is what the Wars against the "Indians" were all about. Colonials were warring against your Ancient Ancestor's descendants and nearly lost the war, even though your Ancient Ancestor's descendants had no benefit from firearms. We saw the exact same thing take place in 1879, during when the British invaded the Zulu Kingdom. There were over 23,000 Zulu Warriors who fought and defeated the British in the battle of Isandlwana, in South Africa. This is also one of the PRIMARY reasons why apartheid would later become such a huge goal of Europeans in South Africa. What's important about this battle (and others in the region) is that all the Zulu Warriors had at their disposal were traditional Spears and Rawhide Shields, against the Firearms of the British and alleged superior fighting capabilities, tactics and strategies. Yet, initially the British were defeated.

The "Native American" was of course, armed (eventually) as an agent of the British against Colonial Forces at critical stages during the American Revolutionary War. However, long before the ARW, "Native Americans" fought Colonial Invaders valiantly and once again did so against valiantly and with nothing more than Spears and Rawhide Shields. So, you have Spears and Rawhide Shields being used on the Continent of Africa by the Zulu and on the North American Continent by the "Indians" - both of which were your Ancestors.

Should you now be focused on reparations? Long answer: Of course, not.

This may seem to contradict my short answer above. However, the truth of the matter is that Black People living in the United States of America have control over more than $3 Trillion in USD annually and that number of growing every year. Is demanding reparations the principled and moral thing to do? Absolutely, yes. If this country were a Moral beacon, then Black People would never have to ask or make such demands as reparations would have been made a very long time ago. However, this country was founded on immoral grounds. It was founded in genocide. I was founded in Slavery. Moreover, it was founded in the destruction of Families and the destruction of the civilization that existed on this land before it. So, put that into context when asking this kind of question. You are asking a fundamentally morally flawed country to do something that is fundamentally moral. The question itself then becomes clear as to its inappropriateness.

What should we be focusing on? The Global Economic Competitive Advantage of the African Diaspora Worldwide.

THAT is where your energy should be focused today. THAT is what you should be writing about on every political and social "forum" and "platform" in existence. THAT is far superior to reparations, as it is the single most important key to answering the immoral legacy of North Atlantic, South Atlantic and Arab Slave Trades. You have over $3 Trillion to work with. Commit to living on $2 Trillion and LEARN to use the remaining $1 Trillion to establish a new Global Economic reality expressly built by and expressly supportive of the entire Global African Diaspora.

Reparations. The Civil Rights Struggle. All of these things have and/or had there place in History. It is now time to move on, take control of our own destiny and write New History Books on the subject of Black People on this planet. That is bold. That is fresh. That is new. That is the ONLY thing that will bring about respect worldwide for Black People. The ultimate goal should be to Unification of the entire African Continent and to turn it into the world's largest Economic Power the world has ever known and will ever know for the next 5,000 years.

This is not only doable. This is waiting for us to do, right now. The only thing preventing this from happening right now, are the divisions within the African Diaspora that Colonizers were allowed to make extant. Remove those divisions, remove the Colonizers from the Mother Continent and begin the process of bridging Black People in the United States with their Black People on the Mother Continent through Economic Channels and strategic plans for growth across every major industry and every major business model in existence.

Be bold. Your Ancestors most certainly were all of that and more. Be like them only better.

This is delusional typical whitewashing of history that arrant western academics have been pumping for decades in this country. You do NOT find this whitewashing of history (ironically) in European Schools. They know better and so do I.

Have you actually studied any World History outside of that which you were told was the truth in your United States Classroom? Clearly, you have not. Had you done that actual homework, you would know that Ma'at clearly would have debunked your baseless assertion and defined Slavery as an abomination. It is well documented that Institutionalized Slavery was NOT indigenous to the place you now call Africa. There were no such people called "Black African" at the time this Continent was at its peak of Civilization. There was no such thing as "Africa." And, there absolutely was no such thing as Institutional African Slavery among "Africans." Humans were not enslaving Humans on the Continent as some kind of business transaction. That brand of Slavery was introduced by Early Europeans, Asiatics and Arabs long before there was anything known as the British Empire.

Your understanding of accurate and extant documented World History is sorely lacking here. I can educate you, however. It depends on whether or not your literal mind is already made up or not. I am not here to be educated on this subject. I've been to Mother Continent. I've talked to some of the existing Elders. I know the traditions of my People. I know that they are an enormously diverse People, with tremendously deep and wide cultural heritage across the Continent. I know how they have been divided by Colonizers, pitted against each other by Colonizers, brutalized by Colonizers, raped by Colonizers and how genocide has been instantiated by Colonizers. I am more than familiar with this History on the Mother Continent and I know that its source and origin does not come from within the Mother Continent.

You are talking about a massive history here that spans several hundred thousand years on the Mother Continent. You have no idea what you are talking about when you suggest that "Black Africans" were wholesale engaged in the enslavement of each other. That was anathema to their existence. My Ancestors, unlike their Invaders, respected Human Life and the Planet on which they lived. They were in search of ways to extend Human Life, not shorten it. If you knew anything about the Kemetic Traditions, then you would at the very least know this much about my Ancestors.

Don't you EVER come in here tarnishing the reputation of my People, like that again. The infighting you see TODAY among so-called "African Americans" in the United States and "Africans" living on the Continent of "Africa" is a total abomination to their Ancient Human Origins on this planet and directly causal of the culture that outsiders brought TO the Mother Continent through invasion and colonization.

Now, what do you know about Kush, Nubia and Kemet? Because, if you dare come in here again without explaining your understanding of their Cultures and why they would have prohibited Institutionalized Slavery of their own People, I will drown you in a World History Lesson that you will never forget and never recover from on this forum - ever.

    Your move.

lol, just like Trump, I know how to solve this, but I ain't telling

you help everyone equally, black or white, that is the only fair way to help the poor

you don't say, your poor, but your white, so you do not get as much help, your black so here you go...

if the left promises reparations, it will be like Trump promising Mexico will pay for it

Sadly I must admit that another poster has stolen my brilliant solution. Essentially pay them & deport them. The savings we realize through reduced housing, health care, SNAP, welfare, and educations recoups the 1 time payment.
