http://www.salon.com/2011/05/26/abortion_saved_my_life/ Not a huge fan of Salon, but it's the first source I found for this. So no matter how you feel about the topic, letting a mother die because you morally object to a procedure is bad stuff. So much for the hippocratic oath!
Notice no lifers have bothered to respond? They'd probably prefer the women die rather than abort the fetus to save her life. After all, she's just a woman. I'm glad she is okay. It could have been much worse, and she is here, alive and breathing, because a medical procedure saved her life. I wonder what hospital she went to? A Catholic hospital? If it was a different hospital they should have had no right to deny her treatment.
Ya its good she survived, but when it comes down to that, you start feeling mixed emotions, such as how could she be so greedy as to want to save her own life rather than her child's. But thats just my view, im glad she and her baby survived.
it sounds more to me like there wasn't a specialist at the hospital. Then, they could have analyzed the situation trying to save both LIVES oh, if you think the term "lifer" to be insulting you are sadly mistaken
I think this topic is misleading isn't it? I remember this story from last year. And more and more information came out on the situation and it came to light that the situation was not quite what the author intended to make us think. Interesting you dig up this old story now when the tales of ' Repubs are taking away your contraception and your right to kill your unborn' are rampant at this time That's the leftist media for you. Never let a crisis go to waste...even if you have to go digging in the past to find it.
At least i'm not afraid of actually reading the articles and looking up the information for myself. But hey, don't knock yourself out. Live in your little world of demo talking points and you never have to use your own brain.
I apologize. I'm afraid i got a little agitated about the refusal of some on this board to even read up on WHAT IS ACTUALLY going on. sorry.
