I never said it was a fact. I said just the opposite.

When you say something, it is your opinion. It may be true. It may be untrue. It may or may not be factual.

 

Fact is not negotiable.
Even if it starts as opinion.

 

That is not how it works kriman. Very simple rule, if you don't know the facts, then you should not sign anything under penalties of perjury.

 

You are not understanding what I am saying. What you say is your opinion of the facts. Your opinion may or may not be the facts.

What you are saying is that you could not possibly be wrong. That is simply not true. People are very sure about a lot of things that turn out not to be true.

 

My opinion is not fact any more than yours is.
Reality is fact.
If my opInion matches fact, BINGO.
Fact is non negotiable. As I said.

I hate hate what Trump did, to make fact into mush by declaring it wasn't fact...but that he was fact.
He was making himself some Messiah, some word of ultimate truth, something like the word of God.

He is instead a false god, a twister of tongues and the snake in the tree of knowledge.
People like him used to be called the anti Christ. The test of moral rectitude. The temptation. The tongue of Satan .
And he will always find willing numpties to elevate his cause.
He has been written about in books thousands of years old including the Bible and sits alongside the other seekers of temporal adulation for his own sake.
Artwork has people like that in the realms of hell. And his worshippers in chains of ignorance.

 

Jones has free speech.
So does the jury, and the jury used their free speech to award damages for the harm incurred from his free speech.

 

Free speech has never meant telling overt lies even in the face of repeated proof that they were lies.
That isn't free speech. That is libel. That is slander. That is illegal.

 

He was found liable for a civil tort not guilty of a criminal statute.
