Donald Trump branded “nauseating” and “creepy”: Donald Trump was branded “nauseating” and “creepy” after he referred to his daughter Ivanka as “honey” during a speech in North Dakota. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/come-up-honey-donald-trump-branded-nauseating-on-social-media-after-comments-to-daughter-ivanka-a3629516.html [The way he treats women in general is nauseating and creepy and I think he sees all attractive women as sex objects including his own daughter. The rest are "pigs". How such a man ever became POTUS is unimaginable. He really is a repulsive, reptilian being and he makes my skin crawl.] -------------------------------------------------------------- "libido sciendi"..... the passion to know.
I hate to give this sorry post any kind of life extension, but certainly it deserves an epitaph. Consistently, hate of a candidate for any reason invariably compromises that persons judgement of the candidate for all reasons- legitimate or not, rational or not... they get distorted into slander by the weak minds of men devoid of character. Such people and those who support or proliferate their hate are the worst of us; the least respectable, the least valuable members of our species. Human nature is sometimes utterly repugnant, and hopefully all of us will eventually be above such disgusting behavior. .
As far as I'm concerned trump is nothing more than the second coming of Jim Jones. Apparently somewhere around 34% of our population would drink the kool-aid if he told them to.
The general problem can be well described with a German proverb and saying: "Just as you creep into the cave, it comes back as an echo!" (Note: in another version, forest instead of cave is said) I do not know any US President who has not been scolded and verbally attacked by some parts of the US population. Sure, in the age of the Internet, of course, is much more and much more dirketer than before, but in principle someone must show me a president, who has not drawn any wrath in his office time! I do not know any! Donald Trump has already surpassed all that has already existed in the election campaign. Election campaigns in the USA have always been a dirty thing, where the opponents throw themselves all sorts of tricks at each other and everyone tries to find the buried corpses of the other. But no campaign was as much a mud as the last one, and this went mainly from Trump and unfortunately this continues to this day and when you look at the whole Tweet traffic of him, frightening! So again ... Trump is the treatment he is experiencing to blame himself with his whole behavior and his statements. Anyone who insults others as he did and does not have to be surprised if they go to the same level as Trump!
While I agree with your assessment of Trump his calling his daughter "honey" pales in comparison to his discussing her sexual attractiveness with another creep, Howard Stern. Trump said he'd like to "date" her if she wasn't his daughter....guess Repub voters like that in a candidate.....(incest)
While I agree every president has had and will have critics; hopefully critics of facts and performance rather than personal condemnations like the first ladies shoe choice. I think the oldest and sorriest excuse for acting abusively in the world is "He deserved it". What we say when we divert from the real issues to the personal obsessions is far more a statement about ourselves than those we insult- and we are not making ourselves look wise, or intelligent or anything else worthy of respect with this crap. I have a friend who writes an investment column and occasionally adds a philosophic comment of refreshing truth. One that hit the nail on the head was this: "The internet has done many wonderful things for us- but giving bullhorns to an army of idiots is not one of them".
I don't see how calling one's daughter honey is creepy. I have called my daughter sweetie and cutie before, does that make me a creep? Of course, she is only 8, so a lot younger than Ivanka. I still don't see the point.
Howard Stern has never been in the business of being taken seriously. He's a shock jock. Not the sort of personality one wants as President of the United States.......
I don't have a daughter, so I don't do this, but there is nothing strange, weird or creepy about a father calling his daughter "honey." Trump is creepy and nauseating for a lot of different reasons. This isn't one of them.
Gee----------------------another thread that says I hate Trump. The hatred from the left is rapidly becoming a mental health problem for the left. What a rotten bunch of losers. They seem incapable of moving on, and maybe getting a better candidate next time. How about picking someone that is not a crooked serial liar next time.
Trump calling his daughter, "honey," isn't strange or disturbed ... appointing her husband to solve Mid-East peace, the economy, and a dozen other official jobs at the same time ... now THAT is strange and disturbed.
Many men in power are womanizers, chauvinistic, narcissistic, etc. Just look at Bill Clinton. That doesn't mean they're not good leaders. Everyone has character flaws and strengths.
LOL. So calling her honey is sickening and creepy? My father in law used to call my wife sugar. And I can assure you he was not some creep. The creeps are those who would think using such a term is somehow sick, creepy. Their minds are in the gutter. We have professionals that can sometimes help people who live in gutters. Business is booming these days with the pathological trump haters I would think. Now, there is another affliction which will help out the shrinks. If you have good insurance and not obamacare.
He is nauseating, and he is creepy, but not because he called his daughter "honey". He's creepy for talking about his daughter's breast size and for saying he would date his daughter. The honey thing doesn't bother me. I call my teenage sons "sweetie" when I'm frustrated with them. I agree that he is a repulsive man though. Just not because of this. It's because of the other 1000 reasons I can name.
So don't vote for Trump. It's just that simple. The rest of us have our OWN reasons for voting for him which obviously escape your understanding even though it has been obvious since the beginning of the primaries. . Steve
Creepy is Hillary refusing to accept the results of the 2016 election, and writing a book blaming everyone but herself.
