Anyone who can make the entire American political establishment and the MSM look like a troop of hapless monkeys certainly deserves serious consideration. ;-)

Jesus when will you people realize that this guy will say anything...

None of it matters. None of it is real.

It's just pure carny barking. He wants you to THINK he's like you...but he's not

I'm always amazed at what suckers my fellow countrymen are.

He might be a lot more like ME... than you might tend to imagine............ Point to any specific problem on the third rock..... ask Mr. Al Gore to write up a solution for it......... ask me to write up a solution...... I personally think that I could stomp Mr. Gore on almost any specific modern world problem!

INCLUDING how to address climate stabilization....without putting twenty percent of America below sea level!?

    http://www.politicalforum.com/humor...2000-election-but-negates-global-dimming.html

In alternate time line Mr. Gore wins the 2000 election but negates Global Dimming....
I personally loved the film "An Inconvenient Truth." I have watched it four or five times at least. It played a huge role in my deciding to join a political party that takes climate change very seriously.

Largely due to his film I actually put in two submissions for The Virgin Earth Challenge.

I do have one criticism for his film though..... the diplomacy quotient was extremely low and America is more divided than ever partly because of the flavor of his film.

    ..............

    ...........

Could a win by Mr. Al Gore in 2000 have led to America being 15% submerged under the oceans by January 1, 2013?

Time does look like a menorah....... or tree with branches and roots... … and is not confined to being a straight line...…

In theory....... Mr. Gore's policy could have ended up greatly decreasing the Global Dimming Effect..... at the same time that it might do little to reduce a general Global Warming trend.... which could lead to rapid warming.....and of course increased cracking and sliding on the land based Greenland Ice Pack.... the world's glaciers and the outer regions of Antarctica......

Prime Minister Stephen Harper and President Bush may have deliberately allowed somewhat bad policy to continue...… because they probably had been told that the factors that increase Global Dimming..... do tend to mask Global Warming.... .which could mean within five decades we may know that that they may have had a basically good idea..... in comparison to worst possible alternative.....??????!!!

Like I said, you and I live on two different planets. I'll stick with what ex-CIA/NSA director Michael Hayden had to say about Donald Trump, so there is no misunderstanding with my position. Which I would hope would be the same position of most of the electorate in this country to avoid the insanity of a having a President Trump https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC7-RMhfSos&feature=youtu.be

Whether you like him or not....... why don't more Americans recognize that The Donald........ has enormous advantages when it comes to the idea of paying off the national debt of the USA in ONE YEAR....... Jubilee 2017?????

Why are Americans so under-informed.... is it their much better climate?
That is the best theory that I can come up with so far......... On my way to Quito, Ecuador, on January 12, 2001, I was amazed how much warmer the weather was when I transferred from one plane to another!

My buddy Paul Dube..... drove me to the airport in an all out blizzard......... but when I landed in Newark, New Jersey....... Wow..... the snow was pretty much all melted.....(or maybe they hadn't even gotten much snow yet that winter)?????!

I am a very average Canadian...... I wrote the SAT back in 1979 or '80 in hopes of attending Ambassador College in Big Sandy Texas. If I read the results properly.... I scored 1199....... not a terrible score........ but certainly no better than the average first year North American university student but............ I can debate and argue with some of the greatest minds in America on almost any subject............... and I am wondering if it is because the weather is so much warmer.... that American women are wearing less clothes..... thus.... American guys are totally distracted most of the time.......... which significantly decreases their level of insight?!?!

Only somebody with a great deal of political courage could shift America out of a course of action that to my thinking.......... seems to be astonishingly dangerous?!

Even if Mr. Mitt Romney gets talked into entering this..... I do so hope that he doesn't make the same mistake that he made with Mr. Newt Gingrich back in 2012...... Instead of trying to stop The Donald dead in his tracks.... the key seems to be to spin him around more of in a yin - yang kind of dance........ because The Donald deserves A LOT of credit for getting people to think....... and my opening post here......... was about something in our economy that sure seems serious to me????!

Have you seen any of the following films:

    1. The Future of Food
    2. Food Inc
    3. The World According to Monsanto.

If so..... then you know that the USA dollar to some degree is linked to and backed up by a plan to control the world's production of food in such a way that could eventually produce global famine.

I used to think I understood monetary manipulation and inflation until I read The Great Wave.

"Alexander Justice wrote in 1707, "Money in general is divided into two sorts, imaginary and real." A general Treatise of Monies and Exchanges [London, 1707]… Justice's "real money" is money of exchange. It is issued by virtually all sovereign states and consists of coins and paper that pass physically from hand to hand. Justice's "imaginary money" is called money of account it exists only as an idea, and is used in bookkeeping and credit transactions." The Great Wave, Price Revolutions and the Rhythm of History, David Hackett Fischer. Oxford University Press, NY, NY, 1996.p. 282.

The book reveals how powerful these forces are, but offers evidence that contradicts every theory of how money and inflation really work. Hyperinflation is understood - great cycles of inflation are not.

IF..... some sort of off the scale intelligence exists..... who has formed humanity and planned the latest major Big Bang event...... then...... if that Being / Beings / beings regards humanity and individual humans as having extremely high value....... then this could inspire us to rethink our situation........ and alter our economy in many positive ways......

Similar to some of Dante's description of his vision in the Paradiso. I seldom delve into theological discussions, but reading a serious 13th century intellectual describing space, time and all matter represented as a mathematical point, without dimension, was startling. Dante was bewildered.

I believe that he could get away with it.... if he donated it to charities who use it as props in documentary and reality film projects aimed at assisting the poor.

Trump doesn't mind being compared to Hitler, this just makes his image looks tougher as a viable sensationalist candidate. Trump philosophy is that, it's better to be feared than loved.

The dominate military of the 18th century was the British who marched to what was thought of as 'honorable warfare" (in lines openly facing the enemy) against the Colonialists who used guerilla warfare (hiding, sniping, aiming for officers) is similar to the US today fighting a war using civilized methods (avoiding civilian casualties, criminal trials for militant Islamist terrorists, etc.) and fighting a ruthless enemy using guerilla tactics and terrorism---who won that war & who will win the present war?!!!

Also compare the military tactics and success of FDR's compounds, Patton's brashness, as well as the recent AHC about 'D-day to Victory' where US WWII survivors resorted to the German tactics of getting info following the slaughter of US solders during the Battle of the Bulge including target practice of US soldiers tied to trees, by asking for valuable info and threatening to 'blow their brains out' and then following up on the threat and getting answers from those German soldiers who watched that 'interrogation!'

Question is: to what sacrifice will Western nations go to (ref also the Muslim invasion of Europe) be PC---lose the overall war?!!

There is no 'honor' in Warfare, which is a brutal & bloody slaughter on one's enemies so as "to win" for the salvation of one's country!

Fighting a brutal enemy who will never submit to a truce (as in the ME) and not planning to win or going the distance of what it takes to win that war is the height of disgrace and the signs of a failing country open to assaults from ALL of its enemies....

Certainly an accurate description of 2016 America. But note that now, so many decades after the Vietnam War, and other wars, and an ever rising debt, inflation is low. I am astonished at how well the Fed et al have been able to keep the lid on it.

I agree that the Fed deserves a lot of credit.

I have read statistics that indicate that they are roughly 300% more efficient.....more effective... than their counterparts here in Canada!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/lates...ence-federal-reserve-doing-excellent-job.html

I just read powerful evidence that the Federal Reserve is doing an excellent job.

If this statement is correct...… that the bulk of the interest generated by the loans issued by the Fed..... go back into the budget of the USA...… then........ I no longer have any serious issues with the American Federal Reserve System!

This is news to me...… although it looks like this has been going on for a long time.

I am surprised that we have not seen far more inflation given the amount of borrowing. I have to suspect that the actions of the Fed have been instrumental in keeping the lid on, but I do not know that for fact. I doubt that anyone really knows all of the factors that contribute to price waves. The Fed is still new. In another century or so we will have better data. I can hardly wait! ;-)

Yes........ the USA has had some truly brilliant Chairman's of the Federal Reserve over these last five decades.

I often think that the reasons why certain decisions are made only become apparent decades later.

IF... the truly intelligent monetary policy began by Canada's P. M. Mackenzie King in 1940 had continued past 1974........ strangely enough..... that would have been noticed by experts in the USA....... which could have greatly heated up the USA economy over these past four decades..... in comparison to what did happen!???

    http://www.politicalforum.com/canad...e-elliott-trudeau-save-world-environment.html

Did P. M. Pierre Elliott Trudeau save the world environment?

This is actually a quite serious question.

    P. M. Trudeau made an error back in 1974, that may well come to be understood as one of the most important mistakes ever made by a political leader.

When P. M. Pierre Elliott Trudeau took Canada off the gold standard, (which incidentally had to be done for many valid reasons), a miscalculation was made that is the number one reason why our national debt has spiraled out of control.

But..... there is a very good side to this because all of us know that we humans have been in a somewhat similar mentality to our ancestors who shot, boiled, barbecued, roasted and fried passenger pigeons into extinction.

We are highly prone to OVER Consumptionism............. I addressed part of the background issues back in my 2006 provincial level campaign as an independent.

.... on the other hand..... we are looking at the necessity to finance a transition over to a truly green and sustainable economy so all of us have a responsibility to become more well informed!

Central banking policy........ is largely smoke and mirrors....... notice my 2006 campaign writing.....

    www.BankingSystemFlaws.blogspot.ca/

When well trained workers have high quality technology to work with then the total of all wages and benefits paid out to employees is only a fraction of the retail value of the products they produce. As a result of this fact the only way to move products out of warehouses is to extend higher and higher levels of credit. One problem with an abundance of red ink is that compound interest on all this government, business and personal debt over a period of decades will grow to astronomical levels. At this time there is approximately TEN TIMES as much debt in Canada as there is money. A simple explanation for how this happened can be seen here:
    http://www.michaeljournal.org/plenty34.htm
In my opinion this rather simple mathematical problem is perhaps the number one cause of inflation in the Canadian economy over the past three decades. This is also perhaps the number one reason why our costs of production are so high and Canadian products cannot compete on the world markets as well as they could under better conditions.

From 1940 to 1974 the Government of Canada put roughly half of the total money supply into the economy through loans issued through the federally owned Bank of Canada. Provincial and municipal governments could borrow the money to build roads, schools, hospitals and sewage treatment facilities at zero or one percent interest. In 1974 (edit) we changed our system and since that time a higher and higher percentage of all government debt is financed through loans issued through privately owned banks. At this time it is ninety eight percent. This policy may be great for our banking sector but it was estimated that in the one year of 1995 alone our federal government could have saved roughly SIXTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in interest payments if we had gone back to creating half the total money supply through these low interest rate loans issued through the bank that is OWNED BY ALL CANADIANS.

Considering that our deficit was approximately thirty billion dollars for that year, simply by changing back to an already proven monetary and banking system, we could theoretically have had a FEDERAL BUDGET SURPLUS OF THIRTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in 1995.

The massive cutbacks in the Canadian military, in health care, highway construction, social programs and education were profoundly affected by these accounting practices?

So what can you and I do about this problem?
    1. If we will do our homework and study this question we can put pressure on our provincial level politicians to create a provincially owned bank. A true Bank of Nova Scotia owned by all Nova Scotians could be used to finance town and municipal government projects at zero or one percent interest just as The Bank of Canada used to do.

    2. Town and municipal government officials in New Glasgow, Stellarton and Trenton should seriously consider creating a local currency unit such as has been done in Ithaca, New York.

    ............…

And it is interesting to note that TEN USA STATES are discussing pretty much EXACTLY what I recommended we Canadians should do.......
