WASHINGTON—Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Friday for the first time asserted that President Barack Obama was born in the U.S.

“President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period.”

It's no shocker he would say this while trying to win a national election. What's funny is all the media, even FOX news, taking the ball and running with this story to give Hillary a shot.

Whether Trump really believes this is doubtful. I think in a few decades, or possibly less, this entire corrupt, criminal Administration, along with the Bush family, and the Clintons (if they are still with us) will be facing trials, not unlike the Nuremberg trials.

 

Wow, what a monumental development! CNN has been pumping this birther BS the last two whole days. I wonder what new garbage they have up their sleeves to denigrate Trump next.

I admit that there's a chance that Trump is playing all of us, that he's really a progressive, as some of his past views reflect this. But even if the worst case scenario is true, he's a progressive who clearly believes in national security. And even so, he's still light years better than any democrat offering.

As nobody is unable to change their mind, I believe that Trump has. Through obama's Presidency, he has witnessed the country deteriorate, and our position as super power wane. Perhaps, he's been reading Breitbart, but I believe that he's been radicalized. We shall see I suppose.

Maybe I shouldn't have said radicalized, actually he's a true Republican. Every President in the past few decades should've given an immigration speech similar to his, actually Billy Clinton gave a SOTU almost just like it! It's just that his views seem radical, because mainstream Republicans try really hard to align themselves slightly to the right of Trotsky; they hate their base with a passion. If you aren't for completely open borders and amnesty, you're a racist!

When I first noticed Trump he was spouting birtherism and I judged him to be either an enterprising self promoter or a shill for Hillary. Now it appears he has a chance to win and I can't stop laughing.

Like I said on another thread, Trump's not making birther ism a campaign issue, he's making national security one. If he sold us all out on this, we'd hold his feet to the fire and he wouldn't be re-elected. Comprende?

Where are you puling this stuff from? Nobody's abandoning Trump, and to ensure this, the possibility of a Hillary Presidency is the stuff of nightmares!

 

He probably did this because he's only 1% under Hillary and is reaching for moderates. We'll see how this plays out. It's not like someone who was already a fan of Trump is going to say "Ok. Now that he dropped the birther thing, I'm voting for Hillary instead!".

Donald J. Trump publicly retreated from his “birther” campaign on Friday, acknowledging that President Obama was born in the United States and saying that he wanted to move on from the conspiracy theory that he has been clinging to for years.

Marking a sharp reversal from his previous position, Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, said at a news conference that he was now satisfied that Mr. Obama was born in Hawaii.

“President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period,” Mr. Trump said. “Now, we all want to get back to making America strong and great again.”

Mr. Trump’s remark came after Mr. Obama, in a brief exchange on Friday with reporters at the White House, again expressed scorn for the entire subject. “I was pretty confident about where I was born,” he said. “I think most people were as well. My hope would be that the presidential election reflects more serious issues than that.”

Mr. Trump’s shift comes as he is trying to make amends with black voters who have been offended by the way he has challenged the legitimacy of the country’s first black president.

And if his "economic" plan is enacted..........it is predicted 3,000 more jobs will be lost...........mostly in the RED states ...........and lessen regulations to allow more American jobs off-shore ............

What do you mean? Trump "denigrated" himself by initiating the birther movement against Obama. He has no one else to blame but himself.
