Biden is the worst. He is forcing us into all of them EV vehicles, but the electric infrastructure is not sized the handle it. That has already come to light in California where they are urging people to charge their EVs during off peak hours. Does your life always run on off-peak hours? And WHAT is going to supply the energy to run the EV vehicles. Mostly oil, gas and coal.

When I lived in Massachusetts, I had to drive 425 miles door to door to reach my parents' house in Delaware for the holidays. No current models of the EV vehicles have that range.

Finally Biden is making us more dependent upon China because they have control of the elements that required to make EV batteries. Beyond the national security aspects of that, you always have to wonder with Biden if the Chinese are collecting their "Hunter Biden payment dividends." They may have collected some with the spy balloon that Biden didn't shoot down until it had completed its mission.

I was just reading about that this morning. People aren't blind as to what NY indictments are about and some are increasingly fed up over what they see as a waste of taxpayer dollars. If I were to make a prediction, I'd say Trump will win over a lot of Black voters who think as Brame does in the '24 election. '24 might turn out to be a nationwide referendum on the Democrats who are seen as soft on crime.

I don't believe there is substantial voter fraud. I favor ballot security measures to keep it that way.

What bothered me in 2022 was the vote counting in Arizona and Nevada, especially. Those election results were held up for over a week. During that time the vote went from Republican lead to a Democrat victory. The early votes were said to have come from rural areas when one might think that counting could be slower. The "late votes" were from places like Henderson, Nevada, which is a Harry Reid political machine stronghold. Why did it take so long to count the votes from there? Were the ballots secure? Did the Democrats add "any spice to the pot?" I'm not convinced that the ballots were secure. Some of these results are too convenient for the Democrat cause.

Why is that the Republicans have leads that the Democrats always seem to overcome, sometimes over a week later? The whole thing does not smell right.

According to the YouGov poll, 72% think the economy is in poor shape. More voters want to see Trump 32% run, than Biden run 26% for president; (pp. 29-30 poll) I did not see where Independents polled on this question. For those who were polled, it was a tie between Trump and Biden as to who they wanted to win the election in 2024. Again, I did not see where Independents were specifically polled on any of these questions other than questions from 2020.

Early Republican leads that would erode over time were predicted well before election day. The reason was the Democrats' lead in mail-in ballots, which are slower to count.

Trump's definitely polling better than both Biden and DeSantis.

Abortion is a state issue now. In case you didn't know, most states have voted for womens' abortion rights.
I don't see this as an issue that would effect the outcome of a federal presidential election.

I'm just wondering why some are afraid to be truthful about Biden's dismal job with the economy, the most important issue to polled voters.

Indeed. I have to laugh. Which of the last four presidents had nice guy personalities.

    Bush, the left hated him
    Obama, the left loves him.
    Trump, the left hated him
    Biden, the left loves him.

Hillary Clinton ran a poor campaign, and that's why she lost the election.
Trump lost the 2020 campaign because of Covid.

I voted for Clinton twice, and even today, I don't regret my vote. The indictments of presidents hold very little water if there is no conviction, hence they can't use impeachment as their excuse for Trump's popularity.
By the looks of the money his campaign is raking in, his popularity is not waning.

I want you to remember the reason Biden won't win in '24. It will be because of the same sentiment as above, (job approval), but this time it will be because of Biden's dismal job with the economy.

Well there are a subset of Trump supporters who are either Trump-or-burn-it-all-down. They don't believe there is MAGA without Trump. If that's the case, there is no MAGA since Trump is an old man and his only presidential level successor, DeSantis, is being attacked by Trump. There is a pro Trump PAC that is running ads against DeSantis, who's not even in the race (yet).

But Pence and Haley are both part of the Washington Generals part of the party that recognize that their job is failure and will do nothing to turn DC around, and both of course seem more than willing to continue the march of war and get the US into a great power-ending conflict for no discernable reason that the current administration has aimed the country towards.

But of course, no Republican is going to win in 2024. The elections have been fortified. Do you think either Pence or Haley can win Pennsylvania when that state just elected a brain damaged man as it's new senator? No. No Republican is going to win the key states needed to win the electoral college.

Biden's administration is cowardly for blaming Trump.

Biden could have reversed Trump's dishonor, but chose to join it instead. They share the dishonor.

I don't see anything that Biden has done to actually unite the country. If blaming Trump every chance he gets is unification, well that just won't wash. He campaigned on doing so, uniting us, and most of the time he turns and plays the Trump/Maga card. It's tiring, and not helping the country at all nor is it helping Biden.

I do realize Trump and the others are campaigning, and there'll be a lot of this, but Biden is presently in office and dishonoring the dignity of his office earning him no favors in the honor department. That's why I disagree with you when you say Biden is a decent man.

That's a great way of describing it. Many are growing weary of the Democrats' soft, lukewarm policies on dealing with crime. I don't see abortion as a big issue in the federal election for the presidency because it's now a states' right issue and for the most part, womens' choice is winning.

You may be right. Maybe no Republican can win 2024. All I'm saying is that if the Republicans want a chance - just a chance - at winning, they've got to nominate someone other than Trump.

If I had my way, election day would be on election day only because it's the perception given to the public that there could be, and might be some monkey business going on behind the scenes and because it would be almost impossible to prove if there was, why have it to begin with?

We can hope, but the Democrats want to keep it as a national issue regardless of what an individual state's values might be.

Yea, mail-in ballots which offer many opportunities in some states to cheat.
