I hope that all the constituents of the tea party are very happy with the lastes economic news.

Let's put the blame squarely where it belongs and it's not Obama...it's because of the instability that the **********s have caused in raising the debt ceiling.

Well, if Obama had allowed the Balanced Budget Amendment, the downgrade would not have happened according to S&P.

Obama is primarily to blame for the way he has destroyed the economy during the past 2 1/2 years also.

The Cut, Cap, and Balance Amenment was a joke that would have hurt GDP growth for the next several years. Not to mention there were no specifics mentioned in the bill. Now if the *********s would have allowed us to raise revenue, there wouldn't be a default.

The BBA is the stupidest idea in a long time. No one wants it. Except for a few extremist *********s.

Exactly what has the Tea Party has done to trigger anything?

The left were the ones who kept saying that if we didn't increase the debt ceiling our credit rating would be at risk.

I knew the attention span of most Americans were short, but this is just silly.

If we had passed that albatross, S&P and Moody's both would have downgraded us on the spot.

The president and democrats don't owe the idiot republicans anything and their ideas for a balanced budget bill is b.s.

Perception is everything though. The CEO of S&P stated that if that bill had been passed, there would have been no downgrade.

The Tea Party comprises how much of the federal government? They didn't do much at all, they don't have the power, they are just a handy excuse for the failures of those that do.

Yeah, because everyone knows that the Budget will balance itself.

Do you even take the time and think about the things you say? Just look past your partisan rhetoric and just say, "Hey, the things I'm saying really makes no sense most of the time."

This has nothing to do with the Tea Party and Obama and his dumocrats know it! This has been building for years and Obaminomics just accelerated it happening!

Reality is if the Tea Party had gotten their way there wouldn't have been a downgrade.

How do you even take yourself seriously? You are repeating the words of Axelrod and Kerry, they actually have a reason to say it...they are stepping up the rhetoric against the tea pary because they are scared. You are repeating it simply because you have no idea what you are talking about.

Did you know that 95 democrats in the house voted against raising the debt ceiling, compared to only 66 republicans? Did you know that 26 senators voted against it? So WTF are you talking about?

This is an Obama problem...for failure to LEAD....and failure to have a budget for his ENTIRE PRESIDENCY! This is a failure of DEMOCRATS to agree, or to basically DO ANYTHING!...not Republicans.

    Tea Party is the minority...PERIOD!

So, why don't you repeat your talking points to people who will just nod their heads like robots and agree with every word that spues out of these unbelievably DISHONEST (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s that are ruining this country minute by minute!

The people who are NOT blindly repeating them know that something is seriously wrong...this president is FINISHED!

If they're scared of what they can see of the tea party now, just wait til next Nov when even more of it becomes visible. It's only the tip of the iceberg.

S&P identified the unwillingness of the GOP to let the Bush tax cuts for billionaires end as the ground for its downgrade (after making a $2T mistake -- man, S&P is inept).

If we go into a second recession, it's all on the **********s' doorstep.

Yep, Bush's unfunded wars and tax cuts for the wealthy certainly put us in a hole. That's the other reason S&P gave.

So two strikes against failed conservative lunacy.

Yep. S&P specifically singled out Republicans in their "rationale" section for not increasing revenue. Nowhere else are the Democrats specifically pointed out.
