Onalandline…….. the odds against Dr. Ben Carson becoming POTUS in 2016 are off the scale astonishing……… but………… if Mitt decided to help him…………. Mitt has the influence in Washington and Wall Street…… to overcome some serious numbers!

One of President George W. Bush's goals in invading Iraq was to decrease the price of oil………. it is happening now……… with lower transportation costs…… every other sector of the economy can surge…. even though people who own shares in oil companies will not be so impressed.

Also…… for whatever reason a particular Iraqi nuclear physicist claimed to have been threatened and tortured……… into assisting Saddam acquire a nuclear device…….. if that man was acting…. he deserves an Academy Award.

Something that most Americans are unaware of is that the former Soviet Union actually got ahead of the USA in at least one branch of the arms industry. Small….. softball sized nuclear devices……… with enough money……. at the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union……….. you did not need to be a nuclear physicist to acquire some of this technology…… or even a device.

Did Saddam have a lot of money?

President Bush did well to allow the political left to paint him as a villain……. as opposed to telling Americans how terrifyingly real much of this article might actually be?

You deserve credit for giving credit to President George W. Bush as well as his dad…… that does not excuse his allowing everybody from Saudi Arabia to fly home after 9-11….. but……. one of these days we may find out how much worse matters could perhaps have been if he had been too idealistic and perectionist???????!

ProgressivePatriot….. on some subjects you have some truly brilliant ideas….. but….. on other topics you could remind people of that famous line from "A Few Good Men" by Jack Nicholson….."you can't handle the truth!"

The title of that facebook page is intriguing……….

"I Will Not Vote Republican Until Abe Lincoln Comes Back From The Dead"

Are you aware of how President Lincoln treated the First Nations tribes of America?

He initiated a brilliant monetary policy experiment….. but on other issues…….. An American Indian might be reminded of A……. H……..!

Four billion dollars in interest payments…….. during the 19th Century…. would be a lot of money in 2015!

One problem. He invaded Iraq to make oil more expensive, not cheaper, and it was more expensive while he was President.

The reason oil is cheaper now is that we are using more domestic reserves and buying less from the middle east. Domestic oil is cheaper so prices went down. As domestic reserves are used up and foreign imports return to their normal numbers, prices will rise up again. This is a ploy by the democrats. The reserves we have will be mostly dry by 2018. They know a Republican will most likely win in 2016 and plan on blaming the oil prices going up on whoever that is.

Interesting theory……. but Saddam after swallowing Kuwait had Saudi Arabia very nervous…….. which meant an insecure supply…… securing a steady supply of oil is meant to keep prices as well as supply stable…… or even lower prices eventually.

If a pipeline to Alberta, Canada is approved……making Canadian oil supply to the USA market more stable….... how in the world would that cause oil prices to rise…. over a possible Republican term in office from 2016 to 2020?

The theory that Saudi Arabia wants oil prices low in order to hurt American and Canadian oil producers makes more sense to me.

I'm supportive of the political virgin Benny "Bones" Carson's stated desire to bring socialized medicine to America, but hallucinogens are a requisite for taking his presidential candidacy seriously.

Such a delusion confronts the reality of the GOP bosses' fierce corporate allegiance. There is not the remotest chance of their allowing an elective neophyte access to such a national stage from which to flail away at one of their most sacred cash cows. The enormous wealth they derive from gorging themselves at the opulent trough of the most expensive system on earth will eventually collapse of its own unsustainable weight, but Benny Bones will not be promoting such cost-cutting progress as the anointed one for those seemingly ignorant of his radical health care reform agenda. He might wish to aspire to a higher sinecure in the Party: radio entertainer!

RomneyCare is a capitalist feast compared to the meagre scraps CarsonCare would serve the frenzied feeders .

My grandmother worships this man. I think he is going to take hold of the far right wing of the party, especially the more anti-establishment elements. However, he has some extremely unpopular positions, and I doubt the GOP operatives will allow him near a general election where his comments comparing homosexuality to bestiality, saying moral decay killed the Roman empire, and saying the ACA was the worst thing that happened to America since slavery would come back to haunt him in a big way.

Unfortunately, the establishment GOP does not back-up non-establishment candidates.

His advocacy for socialized medicine makes him anathema to the GOP's corporate elite.

That and his candid acknowledgement that he owes his success to affirmative action alienates the ideological hardcore.

His complete lack of campaign experience renders him a non-starter for the RNC.

Some, desperate for a viable candidate, find the delusion appealing, but the reality would inevitably assert itself.

His undeniable potential is following Palin's path into show business as another media entertainer.

Carson could make a good cabinet member, but he is neither nominatable nor electable. Still he has more substance than most of the Democratic candidates with the exception of Jim Webb who is also not nominatable. Seems as if the Dems this year are all for candidates of no substance who will be destroyed in the general once the GOP tries to pin them down on their platform. Speaking of Warren and Hillary of course

I personally have gone through times in my life where I was rapidly shown my most serious errors and flaws in my reasoning.

I get the impression that Dr. Ben Carson is a very quick study........ and will be able to get his head around the concept of Theistic Evolutionary Theory in a matter of hours..... He has been so busy being a well informed physician that he has not looked too closely at the young earth creationism theory and the many obvious flaws that are in it?!

Theistic Evolutionary Theory and The Divine Feminine/God The Mother??!!

The masculine and feminine thought and behaviour patterns may have a basis in theoretical physics.

    .............

Christian Adreason reports that duirng his NDE he got the distinct impression that the person who Christians call the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is none other than God the Mother!!!???

My advice at this time would be to seriously consider a somewhat longer term plan and shoot for the office of President in the year 2024!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/current-events/394572-dr-ben-carson-v-p-2016-president-2024-a.html

Dr. Ben Carson for V. P. in 2016 and for President in 2024?!

I saw the movie Gifted Hands about a year ago and I personally do feel that Dr. Ben Carson can make a fantastic President of the USA ....... but......… the fact that he does not have experience in politics is a serious concern so it seems obvious to me that he needs to change course by around September or October of 2015 if by that time he has not established a firm lead as the leader of the G. O. P. contenders?!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gifted_...n_Carson_Story

My recommendation is that he speak with Mr. Mitt Romney as soon as possible and prove to all Americans that Dr. Carson is able to objectively access his own situation and turn what appears to be a liability into an asset...… .and plan for the long term!

Mr. Mitt Romney almost defeated an incumbent President which happens only on extremely rare occasions. Mitt Romney can defeat Hillary but........... Mr. Romney has presented a powerful case that Jeb Bush....... cannot!

Carson has that issue about being ... oh, what's the word ... quack. Yep, that's the word. When a doctor accepts cash to shill a snake oil cure, "quack" is definitely the correct term to use.

Note this comes from National Review, a very stalwart conservative source.

    http://www.nationalreview.com/article/396193/ben-carsons-troubling-connection-jim-geraghty
    ---
In March of last year, Dr. Ben Carson, the conservative star considered a potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate, appeared in a video for Mannatech, Inc., a Texas-based medical supplement maker. Smiling into the camera, he extolled the benefits of the company’s “glyconutrient” products:
    ...

In 2007, three years after Carson’s first dealings with Mannatech, Texas attorney general Greg Abbott sued the company and Caster, charging them with orchestrating an unlawful marketing scheme that exaggerated their products’ health benefits. The original petition in that case paints an ugly picture of Mannatech’s marketing practices. It charges that the company offered testimonials from individuals claiming that they’d used Mannatech products to overcome serious diseases and ailments, including autism, non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and life-threatening heart conditions.
    ---

Carson's excuse? That he was just a paid speaker, and he wasn't really affiliated with them. Which doesn't really make things better, being it paints Carson as a guy who will smile and repeat anything, so long as he's getting paid.

I expect that the Angry White Guys' infatuation with this retired doctor with no political experience whatsoever is a short-term phenomenon purely for show.

Given their history, they like to appear willing to support a Black candidate, but they fixate upon one without the remotes chance of competing in the GOP primaries.

They don't even bother to consider that, in the one field in which he has succeeded (facilitated by Affirmative Action, as he acknowledges) he is an advocate of their bête noire, socialized medicine, the proven, intelligent approach to achieving efficient, economical, universal coverage, but their knee-jerk, ideological bête noire. For inexplicable reasons, they prefer that the taxpayer foot the bill for the medical expenses of tens of millions of uninsured Americans whilst heavily subsidizing everyone covered under an employer-administered plan.

How serious are they when this this worthy promotes sensible reform that would make our nationalized RomneyCare looks like unbridled capitalism running rampant?

I got an ideal ticket for the GOP:

    Huckabee-Carson for the GOP

    Palin-Coulter for the Tea Party

This will insure a victory for America as both parties will divide the unpatriotic right wing vote.

Has Coulter ever been on the Fox payroll? She may not qualify.

But those pairings still make a for a great tag team ¿Quien Es Mas Macho?

Maybe, but he WON'T be. All those former Democrats in the South who turned tail after LBJ's Civil Rights Act would turn tail again. Neither the Republicans nor the Teal Party can afford to lose those people. They are - the base.

Yeah, but those same voters have nowhere to go this time. So if Carson ended up being the nominee (which I agree will never happen), the racists would have no choice but to just not vote at all. They sure as hell won't be supporting the Democrats again. No way would they align themselves with the party that receives 90% of the black vote.

Don't get your hopes up. The chances of socialized-medicine enthusiast Benny "Bones" Carson's being the GOP presidential nominee are comparable to that of the chair to whom Clint Eastwood once lost a public debate.

And, if it ever came down to a one-on-one, I'd give the edge to the chair.

Benny's candidacy is every bit as chimerical a self-indulgence as Dubya's WMD stockpiles or all those mysterious "Liberals!" incessantly haunting their heads.
