Physicians have to be far, far above average in intelligence, stamina, and endurance -- go thru 13 years of public education, 4 years of pre-med, 4 years of med school, 1 year of internship, and 2 to 4 years of residency. That's at least 24 years of education that few people can withstand.

Physicians damn sure deserve to be wealthy. Wish that I had had what it takes, but never could have cut the mustard. So I had to settle for a lot less, deservedly so because I'm not exceptionally smart like physicians are.

 

Depends on how you define "smart".

Most doctors are very good at memorization and conceptualization, understanding how the parts fit into the whole. Surgeons take it one step further because they physically shape things, but research doctors go even further by conceptualizing beyond what they are working with -- now THAT is SMART!

 

She wants their services but wants it cheap, so she can spend her money on things she enjoys. Bet she thinks she deserves a damn good income

 

I thought it funny that a pediatrician should complain about being bitten,
punched, spat at, urinated on and vomited on. Anyone working with sick kids will cop these things.

 

Give me things that are valuable to my life, and to the lives of every american, but don't even think about making a nice living from it.
Give up 12-14 years of your life post high school, incur tons of debt, work much longer hours than the average person, give up your evenings, weekends and holidays being on call, crawl your ass out of bed at 3:00 in the morning to come save my life, but dont you dare think about getting "rich" you greedy bastards.
I néed my money to give to LeBron, Richard Marx, verizon, Apple, Whoopi and Disney, so the can get rich for simply entertaining me

The results of trolling and baiting are pretty well established at this point - that's why forums have rules to minimize the behavior.
