I just wanted to start a place for anyone who vapes (uses an e-cig) to share information, ask questions, and keep an eye on current legislation.

    A quick intro:

I have been vaping for 2 1/2 years, spent WAY too much money on my collection of "toys", and have a HUGE box of liquids.

My go to PV is my purple GLV, But I also have 4 ego variable voltage units, a custom made pipe, an apex ultra with RES system, A V9, a Nucks Fistpack and a few other handmade pieces from friends.

My favorite liquids are tiramisu, english toffee, strawberry cheesecake, and mango. (this month at least)

Tell me about you. All questions are welcome.

When I gave up cigs last Dec, my doctor gave me Nicotrols which really REALLY helped me put down the cigarettes. I likened it to drinking Diet Coke... if you just get thru drinking a regular coke and reach for a diet... it's gonna taste awful. Give yourself a few days off Cokes altogether, and a Coke Zero tastes pretty darn good.

Same with cigs. It'd be hard for me to mix real cigs with e-cigs in an effort to 'cut down' -- I think you have make the break to really enjoy the e-cigs. Once I found out my insurance wouldn't cover a refill of the $176 Nicotrols, I found e-cigs.

Found this site about the ego-C. Very interesting stuff.

(continuation for SMW) For me the eGo-C is the best of all worlds.

Being a technophobe I dig trying new things but when it comes to the day-to-day routine I like to simplify. Having a case with my favorite juices on hand in separate cartridges is perfect. I don't do just one at a time and that (coupled with perfectly tiny atty's) is the ultimate in convenience IMO.

One of the best features is that it does not at all look like an analog so I don't tend to "scare" folks as though I'm hitting an analog. I then get to explain my hobby to a relatively calm person :)

Oh, and for those new to this particular thread, a little about me:

Been vaping for two or three years now and have been totally free from analogs (thanks to eCigs) for 1yr 2mo.

    Tried most of them:
    - Elite (sucked balls and my wallet)
    - Several Joye510 variations (loved 'em, got me off analogs)
    - V2's (great vapor/throat hit, not enough juice in cart)
    - All variations of eGo (A/B/T/W etc, obviously settled on "C")
    - Mods too numerous to mention (too much work/baggage)

    Favorite vape juices:
    - VaporStation- San Fransisco, Texas, Cafe Sumatra.
    - Vermillion River- Number 7
    - Backwoods Brew- Casablanca
    - Mine (hehe)

Have spoken at the City/State level in support of eCigs (more specifically, in support of their removal from cigarette ban legislation)

Full disclosure: My success and activism has inspired me to open an e-store selling eCigs and related equipment geared toward new users more so than mod users (there are plenty of those already). I am in the final stages of merchant testing.

And no, I will not name my store here since I don't believe in the use of forums for personal gain, against the rules or not.

    Welcome Vapers!

Glad you were able to save yourself and the Nicotrol cash SMW.

Couple of things I noticed in the smokey treats video:

First- Forget the syringe. Most of the caps that he was filling through pop right the hell off. I quick fill using the dropper that most juices come in. In fact, I would look for the old fully hard plastic eGo-C or "Tank" type cartridges that are not silicone. I've tried a lot of the silicone caps (T and C) and most tend to alter the taste in a bad way.

Also, I wouldn't dare "prime" a new C atty by dripping right onto it. The margin for error is tiny and he is just begging for a leaky mess. Simply assemble after filling and stand up the eCig on its battery for a few minutes- good to go. BTW, seasoned attys don't need primed at all when refiling.

As with any eCig one has to remember that we're dealing with liquid. Leaks are a fact of life. Clean them often, and when they do leak, clean them again. No matter how you look at it, it's a better alternative to smelling like an ashtray no matter how hard/often you clean your clothes/car/house :)

    I'm on ECF too.

What makes the ego C better/different than other egos?
I like to try new things, but keep going back to my GLV mini.

Have you tried Deejstuff? He makes some of the most true fruit flavors I have ever tried. Not candy like at all.

    Same ID? eSC here

For me, ease of use and lower operating cost balanced with full flavor production. The old eGos were cumbersome in that there atty's (A&B) were too big/expensive and if you weren't dripping you were wasting juice and flavor using the out-dated poly-filled cartridges. I could never get more than a month or two out of the old $10+ cone atty's, SR or LR. The Cartos I tried (CE's, etc) were mostly a PitA to fill and most ended up ruining flavor.

The tanks (eGo-T) just plain sucked. I've tried several and have yet to find one that doesn't burn all my juices right away. The W's are just shaped weird :)

The "C" is plug-n-play right out of the box- Long lasting (full day on 650Mah) (half day on full cart) with good vapor/throat hit (most juices) and no need to search for accessories to make it better unless you want to and the atty's last and last. Like I said before, I get more than 3 months out of each (been using them since Dec,2011 when they came out) you can't beat that for less than 5 clams each.

eGo's in general also seem to have the most battery options available whether it be; colors/graphics, variable Volts, good selection of fixed MaH's, charge level indicators, and my personal, PC jockey/car usb favorite; pass-throughs (no wait for charge- instant vape). They also seem to be just the right size for those that figure out they don't need something that looks exactly like an analog and really don't desire something that is a vast departure.

I have not but am always open to trying new flavors even though I'm not really a fruit vape fan myself. My go-to's usually end up being a hard alcohol/tobacco or smooth coffee/caramel/vanilla flavor.

Since you're a fan, I'll tell ya that I've tried some of the fruit samples from VaporStation and I think those who dig that type would really like them. My competitor Eric (I think that's his name) does a great job with them.

    I'm JJrose over there.

I've been using dual coil cartos for about a year, and they're ok. I don't like the filler though. I like attys, but hate dripping, so one of these might be something to look into.

I was never into fruit flavors because they all tasted too much like candy to me. Deej got me trying fruits. He used to hang out with the snails before he went into business, so we are good friends.
I love his tiramisu, and english toffee flavors. Any recommendation of coffee flavors would be appreciated.

Geesh, could we start from hello!

    What's an 'analog?'
    What's an 'atty?'

How long do these 'flavors' last? Where do you buy all this stuff (I'd like to find a real store vs online so I could get some instruction!)

First one I bought was the nJoy package that came with a USB charger. $19.95. That one lasted me longer than any (I actually went thru 2 pks of refill filters before I lost it.)

That seems to be my biggest problem. I get to work... and discover I've left it at home. Put it in my purse, and it's so heavy, it sinks right to the bottom. I seem to spend half my time looking for the dang thing.

Until Wolfie started these threads, had no idea this was such a big deal. My (smoker) co-workers keep asking me, "How long til you try to wean yourself off those fake cigs" and I always say, "I dunno... I enjoy 'em." Now I can tell them NEVER! Too many different ones to try!!!

Again, the Cafe' Sumatra from VS is awesome. The two Cappuccino's from Backwoods Brews are nice too.

Creamy goodness, and this from a "industrial strength black coffee"only drinker ;)

Yeah, sorry. Easy to get carried away when you've been doing this for a while ;)

An "analog" is a regular tobacco cigarette.
An "atty" (short for atomiser) is the heating element in most eCig devices.

They last only as long as they are present in your personal electronic vapor device (eCig). Tank systems, like the eGo-C, have cartridges that are translucent giving you the ability to see how much liquid you have left. Many other carts and cartos (cartomisers that is, cartridges and atomizers in one unit) have the same feature.

The eCigs that emulate tobacco cigs don't normally give the user a visual indication of low liquid. One usually tells by a reduction in flavor or a slight burnt taste.

I got lucky in the beginning and found a local store. Now I get all my equipment on-line (or from my distributors)

You might head on over to that forum mentioned earlier. You'll find a wealth of info/reviews, several approved on-line vendors and might even find a brick and mortar in your area!

Ever thought about a case and extra chargers? I have them at home, work and even charge batteries most of the time in my truck!

Yes, it is a big deal and I'm in the same boat. I really enjoy the act of smoking and now I do so guilt free knowing that eLiquids from reputable suppliers contain common ingredients that we ALL ingest every. single. day- and yes, that includes propylene glycol and nicotine!

Given that, I have no problem at all partaking in and promoting this life-saving hobby.

    :)

Thx for the lessons. I can see I've got a lot to learn... and I'll def check out the site.

LOL @ getting a case and carrying backups. I guess first I have to admit I'm an addict before I can invest in anything so permanent. Up to now, I've always known I can stop at a 7/11 and buy a '2-packer' for $7.95. That's been my security blanket!

You're certainly welcome and ouch! $7.95 for a couple days? That's (*)(*)(*)(*) near analog hell (hehe).

10ml of juice will last me a week @ about only about 5 bucks retail. $15 for three times that amount. For this former pack-a-day smoker that's only about $30 a month.

    Savings galore!

I started out with a Blu. Then I found out that it wasn't really working for me.
When I started searching for different options I found ECF. So much information, and so many helpful people there.

My partner and I spend $10 a month on cartos (another type of heating element) and and around $50 a month in liquid. We do have tons of flavors, and always buy more than we need just to try new things.

    Thanks for the recommendations.

Actually, the $7.95 2-packer lasts me about a week 'cuz the only time I really use it is on smoke breaks with my buds at work. LOL, the rest of the time, I can't find it.
