When it rains it pours and it is storming over the RNC this week. First we have a nice sized bump from the DNC convention that was widely seen as turning around Clinton's falling numbers. Then we have Donald Trump's mental meltdown which sent his poll numbers plummeting to Goldwater levels. And now we have another good jobs report which continues to crush the right-wing's lame attempt to convince everyone that the economy is worse now than when President Obama took over.

If everything continues like this, the GOP is all but guaranteed to lose the Senate and may see their majority shrink a bit in the House.

    But, but, but......

Sean Hannity tells me that "95,000,000 are out of the work force"......as long as you count high school kids, college students, the disabled, and retirees.

    :)

This is the disconnect I don't understand. 8 years ago, while a Republican sat in the White House, we were LOSING almost
300,000 jobs per month (July '08) yet some conservatives continue to gnash their teeth about the end of the earth under Obama.

Do I think Obama is a great President - no. But he is a long way from this whole twisted picture that some are married to.

This from the same bunch of Bureaucrats PLUS V.P. Joe Biden claiming with
zest appeal that 2010 was a Summer of Recovery.I think it ended up being The
Worst summer on record { since that demographic has been kept } where
Youth employment was at an all time low.
Probably like today, most those who had good jobs are now taking the kinds
of jobs college and high school kids out on summer vacations filled.
In Obama 5th year { July of 2013 } he could only manage 2% growth.
Thhis from a guy who repeatedly lies about everything. From being colleagues
with Bill Ayers in 2008 to that same year having a hack site post his COLB.
Not even a Long Form Birth Certificate. Then just this week claiming it was NO
    Ransom.Virtually every week it's another bald-faced lie.
It's called Obama's War on Reality. With total help and collusion from
this MSM,the AP,Facebook and even Google. All in the hoodwinking in order
to collect some bonus and keep their jobs.

Yea, that's what happens under Obamacare -- cut full-time jobs and turn them into part-time jobs -- in essence "creating" two jobs out of one.\

Companies and corporations don't want to spring for private insurance for full-time employees so what is the solution? don't have any (or few) full-time employees. For example down the block from me they opened up a Meijer grocery store, well they don't have any full-time associates - only managers get full-time, so obviously they have 2x as many employees as they would otherwise have.

I don't call that "creating jobs" I call that manipulation and deception.

Of course there are few people that actually realize this or even care about it which really goes to show they don't give a rats ass about the general public, our economy or society in general.

Yeah, we've heard all those right-wing talking points before. Thanks for reminding us how desperate right-wingers are to make President Obama a "one-term president." :deadhorse:

    It's not a talking point - it's a F-ing fact.

It's very simple - corporations, companies and small businesses don't want to foot the bill for private insurance so they hire TWO PEOPLE to do one job.

Therefore 100 jobs become 200 jobs and you call that "job creation" when in reality it's robbing Peter to pay Paul.

How many jobs were lost last month? And what are the quality of these jobs? Those are important questions that liberals seem to just ignore.

    Talking points?

"The Labor Department has been collecting this since 1968, a time when only 13.5% of US employees were part-timers. That number peaked at 20.1% in January 2010. The latest data point, over five years later, is only modestly lower at 18.2% last month. If the pre-recession percentage is a recovery target, we're just above half-way there."

Lowest workforce participation in 50+ years.

Lowest home ownership in 50+ years.

100% growth in food stamp applicants since 2009.

The weakest economic recover in at least a century.

That's the point. They stopped Obama's and the Democrat's destructive ways which gave the people and companies a little more confidence to spend and invest.

You should make sure you ice your brain and apply a compression wrap after that bit of mental gymnastics. We don't want you to Trump out on us.

Thank you for proving that Obama has gotten us half way to recovering from the Bush presidency.

It would be nice if the "jobs report" would also indicate the number of individuals who exited the federal welfare rolls to accept these newly created jobs. Obamas great successes in job creation must surely have almost rendered federal assistance programs obsolete by now ... right?

I'll give Obama the credit he's due for Julys job creation, bur will point out that these 250K new taxpayers will only help to offset the costs of supporting the 10,000 Syrian refugees Obama adopted during that same time period. Socio-economics ... who knew?

No it didn't....Obama has rigged the system and infiltrated all departments of government with Kenyan Communist Muslim agents from Cuba to supply false data and hand our country over to Russia and Iran.

This should be obvious to any patriotic Merican.

Wait, didn't we just read how growth in the 2nd quarter was way under the projection? The projection for the 3rd qtr was downgraded, too. How does GDP meander anemically at below 1.5% and yet, we see people celebrating job production. Are we going to do this whole celebration of the good parts of the mixed signals from this obvious malaise leading up to an election again? If you are a cheerleader, then, carry on, but if you are actually worried about the score, this cheerleading is nonproductive.

hahahaha.....I saw this coming 8 years ago. I knew that lots of folks would cheer a terrible recovery. I knew it would be a terrible recovery. I have tons of posts during the TARP negotiations predicting your post. However, I thought the recovery would be a little better than this, but I didn't predict all of the BS tampering by this executive branch through the EPA, IRS, etc. Carry on with your cheerleading of mediocrity.

Stocks went up as interest rates went to near zero and there was no place else to put money except the market. Add to this fact that many corporations became more profitable on paper as they reduced operating cost by cutting payrolls and benefits and replacing full time jobs with part time jobs and you get an uptick on wall Street but in reality it's not a positive for America.
