    https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-at...nk-training-not-within-months-but-weeks.htmlb

NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said that Ukrainian military complete Western tank training within weeks not months. The statement was made by Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Secretary Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with Report, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Well it appears that Ukrainian servicemen ( and women) are not as dim witted as Russian mill bloggers and some western posters and opinionators tried to convince us. So the sooner the Leopards can start to prowling and growling the sooner more invaders will be hell.

I'm sure it takes some time to learn to use a modern main battle tank effectively. The more training time they get, the more vital experience they will have, and not just the basics of what to press when. I'm sure they're better off taking as long as it takes to learn those systems well, no matter how smart they may be!

The reason I mentioned that the Ukrainians were not dumb is that I read posts here and references to opinion pieces implying that wester equipment is complicated so they worried how the Ukrainians will deal with the high tech.
I do not want corners cut in training yet time is of high importance for Ukrainians with the Russian threat staring down at them.

I guess it could be debated whether less well trained tank crews with tanks at the front lines sooner would be better than better trained crews and tanks later. It would be above my pay grade to make a judgment either way!

It is over my pay grade but with time being important it seems to me it is a trade off. Do you make every effort to blunt the beginning of an offense or do you use better trained tankers to push the invaders back from what they gain??

    Ukraine Conflict Updates

Luhansk Oblast Head Serhiy Haidai claimed on February 11 that Ukrainian partisans destroyed an automated railway control station near Shchastia, Luhansk Oblast on a section of the railway connection between Shchastia and Starobilsk.[72] This attack may impede Russian forces’ ability to transfer forces, equipment, and supplies within rear areas of Russian-occupied Luhansk Oblast.

    Ukraine Conflict Updates

Russian occupation authorities are continuing to import personnel from Russia to compensate for shortages of willing collaborators with whom to staff occupation administrations. Ukrainian Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov stated on February 13 that Russian occupation authorities imported deputies from Chelyabinsk and Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, to occupied Zaporizhia Oblast as Ukrainian civilians are continuing to refuse to cooperate with the Russian occupation administration.[80] Fedorov also stated on February 12 that Russian occupation authorities imported 800 police officers to occupied Zaporizhia Oblast from Russia to fortify occupation law enforcement and further suppress anti-Ukraine sentiment in occupied territories.[81]

It was .. that is true . Them Azov Nazi's persecuting the Russian Separatists .. just like Israel persecute them Palestinian people .. now we have Nazi Biden commiting crime against humanity .. preventing aid from reaching the people of Syria after devasting earthquake .. 45 K dead and counting.

Unlike the Palestinians and the people of Syria though .. Separatists in Ukraine had a savior come and help them fight and remove the naZi occupation !

This is the same tactics that Russians used in WWII in that Soviets troops dressed in Ukrainian UPA uniforms attacked Ukrainian and Polish villages to blame Ukrainians.

Since it takes American soldiers 6 months to learn how to operate the Abrams efficiently and as a team does that make them dim witted? It takes more than weeks to master the sophisticated tanks like the Leopard and Abrams as well as working as a crew.

The troops Ukraine is sending troops who are tankers. Logically that may shorten the training time frame but I was not a tanker so I am not trying to guess by how much. The other factor/question is that Are the US soldiers who are sent to tank school raw rookies?

They are going from outdated Russian tanks to modern German tanks. They might as well be rookies. They will need to learn German and master the new technology. I’m pretty good with computers but when I use my wife’s Spanish interface I’m just about useless getting around the computer. For this same reason Giving Ukraine Russian made airplanes is the better options.
