In light of the things that are happening in Wisc., Ohio, and other red states which indicate that the Tea Party does no longer have the power it had in 2010, most Republicans/conservatives remain positive that they are going to do a sweep in 2012. Here's another example of how "not so well" they are doing. Democrats' bet that former consumer finance watchdog Elizabeth Warren could take down Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) appears to be paying off, as a new poll suggests she is pulling ahead. The survey by the University of Massachusetts at Amherst finds Warren leading Brown 43 percent to 39 percent -- just within the poll's 4.4 percent margin of error. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/01/elizabeth-warren-scott-brown-poll_n_1123387.html
She is a class warfare Marxist. Coming from Massachusetts it is of no surprise. I do have to give Mitt Romney credit... how any sensible person ever gets elected from that craphole is amazing. "There Is Nobody in This Country Who Got Rich On His Own" - Elizabeth Warren (Marxist Freakshow) She is an idiot with zero real world experience. Another Harvard Law Academic that will sell the country out for an ideology. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOyDR2b71ag"]Elizabeth Warren on Fair Taxation - YouTube[/ame]
Wall Street does not like Warren. She knows where all the bodies are buried. I happen to think her talents should be used by the SCC and the DOJ, and clean house in our financial industries
Oh that's absolutely nuts....she is not a Marxist, and she does not believe in taking money from people who earned it honestly.....I couldn't agree less with you on this one HB
When Liberals have to tout a Democrat winning in a poll in Taxachusettes as " news"...... ..........you know 2012 is going to be a great election year. Maybe even bigger than Nov. 2, 2010--The Largest Political Ass Whooping in History......liberalism will be close to extint after 2012. . . .
I don't think this necessarily means much right now, but I do think the race will be competitive, and I think she can win.
She certainly has a point. No matter how much one might think they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and got their money by themselves, they had the protection of their property (literal and sometimes figurative) by the government in one way or the other, paid for by taxation. If he or she uses roads, it is paid for by taxation. There is no way one can make it completely on one's own, with absolutely no assistance from others.
Warren will win. She is the model for Democratic victory in 2012 -- uncompromising, unabashed, and willing to point out the lunacy of the Rightwing Noise Machine.
Looks like someone has been drinking the KoolAid! Look what happened in Wisc., Az., Ohio and Maine and keep thinking you are going to do like in 2010. And, yes, please offer us that loser, Gingrich. We need easy.
Based on what happened in other states at the last election, she has more than a good chance. People are fed up with the Rep mentality - that the rich and corporations need to be coddled at the expense of the middle-class.
Republicans were all excited that Wisc voted in a Rep Governor and their state legislators were majority red! But look what the Wisc people did in 2011 with their own state politicians - looks like the Reps didn't fare as well as they thought they would. As for Ohio, their Republican Governor couldn't make Republican's idea that unions are bad, stick, sounds to me they also are fed up with Reps ideas.
We'll need every vote we can to take over the senate. Even if she is ahead in the polls, it won't matter if we can get the turn out. I think that is the most important factor. Better to have a centrists republican that a leftist democrat. Some people hate choosing between the better of two evils, but it is better to choose than to let the worst of two evils win.
