When it comes to Civil Fraud, the banks are not the concern here. The law is, among other things. This has been moving forward every since the former accounting firm stated that the information cannot be verified. Those of us all knew that eventually, a Civil Fraud trial would commence against the company. We already had a criminal fraud trial and plea bargain by Trump's former CFO already. This is just the next step.

 

And what penalty did the CFO recieve?

 

So have you ever bought a house, or property or maybe a car?
Did the loan application ask you what the value was?
No.
They ask what you're paying for the property, or car.
And they want to know how much down you're putting in.

The bank does it's own evaluation.
Even if you're Donald Trump and we're talking Trump Tower.
The bank isn't going to go with Trump's evaluation.

And the state isn't going to go with Trump's evaluation when it comes to taxes either.

So Trump can say his property is worth BILLIONS and then turn right around and say it's only worth MILLIONS.
It has no impact on what the bank does, or the insurance company does, or the taxing authorities do.

It could, theoretically, have an impact on someone buying stock in a Trump business, but then there's that pesky disclaimer he's got on all his financial documents that basically says "do your homework, don't rely on what I say it's worth".

Which, if you set aside all the propaganda and media hype about it, pretty much makes the entire fraud trial a joke. And we haven't even started in on how you can have fraud without a victim who lost something because of Trump's "lies". See, there aren't any victims. That's more of James media hype to get Trump.

I fully expect Trump to be convicted.
And I fully expect the appeals courts to fight with each other to see who can overturn it first and most aggressively.

 

If the "Deep State" already turned Trump's own people, and even his attorneys against him... To the point that they're even willing to go to prison just to get back at their former "boss" that they once loved but now hate; what makes you think the "Deep State" can't manipulate appeals courts the same way?

I think your guy is screwed! And even more so if your Conspiracy Theory is true.

 

I'm sorry that you think it is okay to lie on these forms. The law says you are wrong. And, no, the financial documents do NOT say "do your homework, don't rely on what I say it's worth." That's almost the exact opposite of what the "worthless clause" means.

 

That statement alone shows that you have no idea what you are talking about. We can ignore the rest of your post as being from someone who is woefully uninformed.

First, I never said it's ok to lie on the forms.
Stop that.
So, tell me, what does the disclaimer that Trump has on all of his financial statements say?

Or did you go with what the media said?

Now. Can you show me, on any loan application, where it asks the applicant the value of the property?
It asks what you're paying for it, and what you're putting down, and what the balance is supposed to be, but those forms do not, anywhere, ask "What is the value of this property?"

And no bank loan officer, whether working on a loan application for a $5,000 piece of bare property in the desert or on Trump Tower, is going to take the word of anyone but their own evaluation of the value. Using their process and their people.

Same with the tax man. They would no more accept the property owners assessment of value than they would accept "the check is in the mail" or "I'll respect you in the morning" or "honest, just the tip".

 

No doubt it will be appealed, but your statement still shows you don't know what you are talking about.
