Alveda King, a Trump supporter and niece Martin Luther King Jr., told a crowd of Christian political activists Saturday — the weekend of Father's Day and Juneteenth — that it is the Democrats who seek to divide and separate Americans by skin color.

Since 2020, several primary and special elections have shown a shift in the Hispanic voting demographic’s historical allegiance to Democrats; however, at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference over the weekend, Evangelical Christians were triumphant that more minority voters will be voting Republican in 2022 and 2024.

The significance of the potential shift of Black and Latino voters to the right will have on the midterms is uncertain, but according to Evangelical leaders, the conservative movement is undeniably growing in minority communities.

"God is moving in the Hispanic community, and that’s why they’re moving to the right," said Nilsa Alvarez, director of Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Hispanic outreach division, in a panel discussion Saturday.

The Faith and Freedom coalition has leaned heavily into attracting minority groups, including Hispanic and Black Americans. The goal is to create a more diverse pro-family, pro-life conservative coalition,..

t is great that this outreach to culturally conservative African and Hispanic Americans is happening. They are realizing that their beliefs on many key issues now more closely align with the GOP than with the democrat party. Whether it is the pro life or 2A or parental rights in schools or mass immigration or economic issues affecting small business and employment and recent secularist hostility toward religion, minority community individuals are moving to the Republicans because they feel that the democrats left them.

The transformation of the GOP into a multiracial theistic friendly working and middle class, small business family friendly coalition continues.

So, she is saying that Martin Luther King Day should be abolished?

It’s nice to see them calling out blm for what they are.

Beyond what the article stated, if AOC is to be believed, BIPOC suffer from income inequity. The worse the inequity, the harder those folks are getting hammered by democrat policies. If they don’t vote with their hearts then they’ll vote with their wallets. On top of that, BIPOC will need to realize they’re being forced to suffer from a global warming policy that is doing nothing about global warming and instead pouring money into the pockets of people like Pelosi who bought tons of electric vehicle stock when Biden was elected.

BTW, unlike the left, we cons don’t call BIPOC victims, we call them fellow Americans. Welcome aboard.

Yet the rightists call homosexuals deviants and freaks. Wonder why rightists only pick and choose who they call fellow Americans based on who they want them to vote for.

Not outdated at all. Tell me again, do you support Gay Marriage? Do you agree with how homosexuals want to live their lives? Do you believe homosexuals should have the same marriage benefits as you and I do?

I don’t have a bone to pick with homos, my sister and two cousins are gay. My problem is having their lifestyle forced down my throat. How do you think the founders felt about SSM? I won’t even ask about trannies.

All standard. What we dont want is this **** taught in schools to impressionable children because their teacher cant afford a therapist so they use the class as a sounding board. We dont like drag shows in our schools either.

So you have a problem with homosexuals living the same life as you do? Having the same rights as you do?

The argument of having anything forced down your throat is complete bullshit. That is the argument of someone who clearly does not agree with their lifestyle and wants them to stay hidden in the closet because you find them to be gross.

What does that have to do with Hispanic and Black voters moving to the GOP?

If you really believe that the GOP will have the majority of the Hispanic and black vote in elections, I have ocean front property I would love to sell you in Vegas. I will give you a great price for this chunk of land too.

Where would you draw that conclusion from anything in the article? I know if no one who thinks that should happen.

Taught ? Sure not a problem. I took world religions in 9th grade. Was fine, no one was offended, and i learned about multiple faiths. With the bulk of the world being religious, seems silly to completely ignore it.

How is it outdated when it’s literally the party position of the Texas GOP that was released last weekend?

The topic here is minority community members moving to the right and to the GOP because we are closer to their values on a large number of social and economic issues.

I don't want them in the closet, I want them to have all the rights everyone else has. Which do not include shaking your **** at traffic on a pride float or having sex in public.
I can be against such obscene public displays, from hetero or homo individuals for that matter, and not be a bigot.

Again you need to update your playbook. Please show me where I ever said " people only care about the economy". I don't even understand what possesses some of you hear to say **** like this. It's so easily refutable.

The OP isn't necessarily saying there will be a majority but rather that there's a shift happening right now where more are voting GOP than before and the outreach is starting to pay political dividends, with the woke-isnt DNC and their allies in business and the press almost shoving them out the door.

I think @Steve N 's point about having an agenda shoved down peoples throats - there's an article out there (can't be bothered to look for it but someone will) about why Lightyear isn't doing as well as Disney told me it would, and that's because of the lesbian kiss in it among other things, such as Chris Evans insulting people who might have bought tickets to the movie itself - never a good look. I mean, Pixar movies have practically printed money in the past but it seems as if Disney has forgotten what their core audience is and they're not buying the wokeism Disney is sellin'. I know Hispanics fairly well and this kinda stuff as a whole ain't workin' - Hispanics are a bit more conservative than what the DNC is pushing. I think you're making light of this at your (political) peril here.

What's to choose? Looks like the DNC is screwing up both on economics AND social values.

I don't think anyone said the GOP would have a majority of minority voters, at least in the next several elections. But, the Hispanic and black voters ARE voting GOP in increasing numbers, and it won't take a lot of that movement to make a real difference. If you can't see what's happening you're not paying attention.

Exactly. No one is maintaining that the GOP will ever get all Hispanic or African American votes. Simply having both where both parties are competing for their vote and the vote is distributed in roughly comparable ratios as the Caucasian vote is is the goal. Having any racial or ethnic group being monolithic in support of one party either way is never good.
