As COVID-19 raged last year, the seasonal flu all but vanished, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

During the 2019 flu season from Sept. 29 to Dec. 28, the CDC reported more than 65,000 cases of influenza nationwide. During the same period this flu season, the agency reported 1,016 cases.

Health experts said that high vaccination rates against the flu – combined with social distancing, mask-wearing and hand-washing employed to stop the spread of the coronavirus – played a huge role in preventing influenzatransmission.

The drop occurred despite a sixfold increase in testing at public health labs, most of which checked for influenza A and B along with the coronavirus.

True enough it seems. I got the flu shot in October and the China virus vaccines in February and March. I only wear a mask now where they require it that I absolutely have to go to.

 

Seems like stores could just run a wand over us and only allow those with the CIA microchip enter their doors. I am not sure the honor system would really work in terms of those who have had the vaccine don't have to wear a mask but those who have had it do. I just hope that eventually the numbers drop so low stores stop mandating it

Covid is endemic just like other corona viruses; it's not going away.

 

It's not that freaking hard to wear a mask and wash hands, like wearing all gear riding a motorcycle in Florida, it's just some people are Squat-to-Leaks and can't handle a little discomfort.

If you choose to wear none, and ride, if you get into an accident than chances of survival are reduced. But, you get to choose.

Masks have not been proven to eradicate covid as we see those who are masked up still contracting Covid and those who gather around others unmasked, do not. Death rate is dropping in FL and around the country. Folks have had time to build up their immune system and the jab helps as well.

My wearing gear doesn't spit on you, your bloody splatter could spit on others when that head pops like a grape and we have to pay taxes so someone can feed you with a spoon.

I don't demand perfection, I'm more than willing to wear the mask or helmet, and wash my paws, and let your head pop like a grape, or let you ride without air bag vest (I don't have by the way).

Exactly. It only attacks Trump rallies, reopening the economy events, we back the blue events, and religious gatherings. It exempts rioters, looters, entertainers, and everyone locked up wearing masks.

 

The masks don't protect YOU they protect everyone else FROM you. They prevent the SPREAD of the disease, not the disease itself. We know that people with no symptoms can still have and spread the virus and we have no way of knowing if vaccinated people can spread it or not.

Once enough people are vaccinated we'll have the much-touted "herd immunity" and not have to worry, as most people won't be able to catch it anyway. (And **** those who willfully refuse to get vaccinated. Actions have consequences as all my conservative friends constantly and gleefully tell me, maybe the disease itself is sort of a Darwinian culling of people just too ****** conservative to live. A method they themselves should be very supportive of.)

Masks didn't stop any of those deaths either, did they...

People are being asked to wear them for at least 8 hours a day, not for "a few minutes". People shouldn't even have to wear them for "a few minutes" if they don't want to, since it is THEIR right to make THEIR OWN healthcare decisions.

Masks do not stop viruses. Their pores are far too large and viruses are far too small.

Did you know that masks were widely worn during the Spanish flu, an event in which you say that 50 million people died worldwide because of??

You are making the claim that a mask can somehow stop a virus from traveling "inside the mask to outside the mask", yet it simultaneously cannot stop a virus from traveling "outside the mask to inside the mask". You are talking about the VERY SAME MASK PORES...

Do you not realize how silly such a claim is? You are now stuck in paradox and are arguing irrationally.

 

Nope, masks do not work. They didn't work during the Spanish Flu and they still don't work now.

 

Maybe we should try triple masking when double masking doesn't work... and then quadruple masking when triple masking doesn't work...

Or maybe, just maybe, we can start realizing that 3.0+ micron mask pores cannot stop a virus of 0.1 micron diameter, that we have immune systems that kill viruses, that a good diet and exercise and vitamins C, D, and zinc help to boost one's immune system, that sunlight is a natural source of vitamin D and helps boost one's immune system, that sunlight is a natural source of UV light and kills viruses, that covid (if caught early) can be treated very effectively with hydroxy and ivermectin, and just be done with this nonsense and start living life pre-2020 style again.

 

If they worked so well, then why are there still "spiking infection rates" a great deal of time AFTER mask mandates were implemented?

According to liberals, masks should've worked like a vaccination works... Mask wearing sheeple (vaccinated folks) should've had immunity to the disease (since mask wearing supposedly stops viruses), so it's just the "moron anti-maskers" (unvaccinated folks) who could've gotten it and spread it around. Once it spreads through that part of the population, then everyone should've had immunity and the disease should've stopped spreading around through the whole population (iow, herd immunity). Whoops. Guess masks don't stop viruses after all..

Then what you are being jabbed with is NOT a vaccine.

Flu vaccines grant you immunity to the particular strains of flu that are in the vaccine. They don't grant you immunity to all of the other flu strains that are in the viral landscape.


Sunlight exposure, Vitamin C, D, and Zinc supplements, healthy diet and exercise, and etc all make you far less likely to become infected with it also.

 

I cannot spread a disease that I do not have.
