Extreme Evangelical Atheism vs. Moderate Atheism and Traditional Christianity

    It is my experience that atheists are more honest than theists in admitting that whether a god exists or not is unknown (and most likely unknowable).

    Which, by the way, is the actual meaning of the word "agnostic", which unfortunately gets misused even more frequently than "atheist" (hint: literally everyone is agnostic, since no one knows if a god or gods exist).

    Not at all. See, when one makes a claim as to the existence of some thing - even if that claim is only based on belief/faith and not knowledge - it is perfectly logical and acceptable for others to ask for the evidence used to arrive at such a conclusion.

    Well, indeed that is an interesting perception that you convey. Is that perception 'a truth' or 'the truth'?

    What constitutes "know"ing?


    Using what form of logic and what form of philosophy as a prerequisite to making a response to such an inquiry?
