Democrats enacted their social welfare programs (or wealth redistribution schemes, if you prefer), so it's up to them to defend their results after 50 years and $20 trillion. It's also on Democrats to answer for the conditions that Daniel Moynihan predicted those policies would produce (see the quote in Post #146 above) and why they ignored his warnings about their destructive effects.

Let's not pretend that Democrats don't engage in moral posturing themselves. It is their self-styled 'morality', 'high principles' and 'do goodyness' that allegedly compels them to enact, sustain and expand their entitlement-based vote-buying rackets. Personally, I think their motives are far less noble than they would have people believe (as is the case with many Republicans).

I think the plan was for the fake news, and establishment politicians, to make them seem like heroes so they can run around terrorizing people with imprimatur, but Trump thwarted that by correctly calling them out as bad people. I think that's part of the reason the fake news went ape ****. They're plans were ruined. Look at how hard they tried to make ANTIFA look like good guys. They were clearly frustrated.

They don't care about their credibility. These are communists and anarchists. They have been changing faces for generations and they will continue to change faces (and political causes of the moment). As a progressive, I have been well aware of them being the turd in the punch bowl at any demonstration or protest of note. They do a disservice to the left, but then again, they aren't really even hard-left because they have no core values other than to create chaos and destroy every organization out there. They are a danger. Nobody should be defending them. My advice to the left: You can speak to the issues that concern you without giving glory to these psychopaths. They are not the Anti-Klan. They are the Anti-Everybody Including You.
