How about both of them? When dealing with a matter of fiction, it can all be written and rewritten to the desires of the author. And had it remained this woman's delusional fantasy, that would've been "okay". But she not only put it into the public sphere, but to a public servant who is possibly to be nominated to SCOTUS.

This travesty cannot seriously be believed by anyone with two conscious thinking cells. We don't need to 'hear' her testify, we need to move on.

Here is some of her statement

"A classmate of Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser Christine Blasey Ford said her allegations were known by many people at their high school, and that he should “own up to it.”

“I graduated from Holton Arms, and knew both Brett Kavanaugh and Mark Judge. Christine Blasey Ford was a year or so behind me, I remember her, I signed this letter [supporting ford],” Cristina King said in a now-deleted tweet. “The incident was spoken about for days afterwords in school. Kavanaugh should stop lying, own up to it and apologize.”

In a Facebook post, which she also removed, King further elaborated on what she claims to have known about Kavanaugh’s alleged attempts to drunkenly sexually assault Ford at a party in 1982.
“I did not know her personally but I remember her. This incident did happen,” she wrote. “Many of us heard a buzz about it indirectly with few specific details. However Christine’s vivid recollection should be more than enough for us to truly, deeply know that the accusation is true.”

Then after maybe someone told her her allegation is not possible because Ford never told anyone about it

    She post this

To all media, I will not be doing anymore interviews. No more circus. To clarify my post: I do not have first hand knowledge of the incident that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford mentions, and I stand by my support for Christine. That’s it. I don’t have more to say on the subject.

Welcome aboard! I've been posting here for ten years, and all I can recommend to you is that you choose your defensive armament well because what's developed here over the years is a kind of protracted political "trench warfare".

Bush and Kavanaugh? I don't profess to know anything about those early years except what I read in the Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Kavanaugh . It looks like it was simply the every-day kind of political 'tit-for-tat' that is common fare inside the Beltway.

But these latest Democrat attacks on Kavanaugh are so blatantly and obviously politically-contrived! Think about it -- a Democrat college teacher deep in the hyperliberal Bay Area enclaves comes out with vague recollections from 'therapy' sessions six years ago about some kind of 'sex crime' which supposedly occurred at a teenage drinking party that took place in the early 1980's?! This is probably the most ineptly launched, conniving attempt at a "Hail Mary pass" I've ever seen. But it stinks of the kind of desperation that hyperliberal Democrats like Dianne Feinstein must feel as they realize that another Justice is just about to take a seat on the Supreme Court -- a Justice who is committed to interpreting the Constitution exactly as it was written and amended. What could be worse for Democrats than that, who were so overjoyed to get two of their kind (Sotomayor and Kagan) on the court (thanks, Obama), and shortly afterward... and then, the death of Justice Scalia!

But all their plotting, character-assassination, and back-stabbing will come to nothing. Evidently Ms. Blasey Ford is evidently (and wisely) having a difficult time deciding whether she should testify UNDER OATH with nothing more than this silly assortment of therapy-session 'recollections' to support her story.

Dianne Feinstein herself has already tried to back away from Ford's musings by saying two days ago, "I don’t know if ‘everything is truthful'..." Link: " https://thehill.com/homenews/senate...sations-i-dont-know-if-everything-is-truthful

Of course, that didn't seem to bother Feinstein in the least when she dragged all this up before the whole world! And now Blasey Ford and Dianne Feinstein are going to have to stand and deliver, or be exposed as conniving liars and slandering frauds....

Considering what Ford looked like when she was younger and if the allegation is true, one question comes to mind:

Who is the real victim here?

And she's recanting her previous statement

Kavanaugh Accuser's Classmate: 'That It Happened Or Not, I Have No Idea'

A former classmate of Christine Blasey Ford tells NPR that she does not know if an alleged sexual assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh took place as she first suggested on social media.

"That it happened or not, I have no idea," Cristina King Miranda told NPR's Nina Totenberg. "I can't say that it did or didn't."

That's different from what Miranda wrote Wednesday in a now-deleted Facebook post that stated definitively, "The incident DID happen, many of us heard about it in school."....

    https://www.npr.org/2018/09/20/6497...ssmate-that-it-happened-or-not-i-have-no-idea

And she can't say it happened at all PERIOD. She is a bold-faced liar. Maybe she can be sued.

They're desperately searching for evidence of Kavanaugh’s predatory conduct:
I wonder whether the absence of any responses could be evidence the good judge wasn’t a sexual predator as is being suggested.

Honorable people don't have accusations of any kind against them. Where were the accusations of sexual assault against any previous nominee save Thomas? Most nominations fights center around idealogy or past rulings. There have only been two that I can recall where sexual assault was at issue. Again, why not nominate someone with 0 allegations? Surely you can find someone who desperately wants to end abortion rights without a sexual assault allegation in their past.

Because the democrats were willing to sell their political soul for a win, just like you and the GOP did with Trump and are willing to do again, in a lessor fashion, with Kavanaugh. Bill Clinton likely assaulted women and shouldn't have been the nominee. I never voted for him believe it or not.

How will her testimony prove anything? As you say below, how is Senate testimony better than what the FBI did? Do you mean to say all testimony given before the Senate is somehow the gold standard for determining the truth?

What is it you think there is to investigate? They have her statement, the only witnesses to the event she alleges ALL say they don't know what she is talking about, she cannot remember key details and has made conflicting statements on others. No one has come forth and said she told them about it except her husband 30 years later.

Investigate what, they said again today there is nothing for them to investigate here. Are you claiming she has been withholding information and she will only tell it to the FBI? What's stopping her, she can submit a written statement to them and they will include it in their report to the Senate.[/quote]

They have it now. I realize there isn't much to go on given the time that has passed. But you miss the point. Why confirm someone with this cloud over him? Why throw Kavanaugh under the bus like this? His legacy, like Thomas', will never escape the allegation.

I have seen nothing about rape on CNN. Must have been someone else.

Now you care about women, eh? Funny.

It does. You guys held up the nomination of a qualified nominee with ZERO allegations, at the time as a far as anyone knows today, of sexual assault. Now you want to rush a guy through WITH sexual assault allegations. The fact that you have nothing to say tells me everything. It means you know it was wrong to block Garland and you know it's wrong to confirm Kavanaugh. Again, just pick someone without sexual assault. Kavanaugh isn't magic. After all, he was very interested in pursuing the depths of Clinton's past. He should apply the same standard to himself. And he should acknowledge that his nomination is tainted. There's enough from his past and his associations to indicate his isn't who you claim he is. There are other potential nominees who are better people. Just pick one of them and save the country a headache.

You lost credibility with that fallacious statement.

And Hill's claims were totally demolished with her only witness having to withdraw her testimony else face perjury charges.

Me? I didn't vote him, can't stand the man personally. There is no selling of souls with Kavanaugh unless you are willing to condemn him on unprovable unsupported claims.

Likely? FAR more evidence, sworn testimony and contemporaneous witnesses. Did you support his removal from office for the felonies he committed trying to cover it up when sued in a federal court?

What more does she have to tell, she spelled out her allegations and there is no there there.

Nothing to escape from. What is it you think the woman is going to say when she is before the committee that she hasn't said already? She has no witnesses, she has no corroborating evidence. Her story has been shot full of holes. Even the one person who tried to make false accusations had to withdraw them.

I have seen nothing about rape on CNN. Must have been someone else.

Yes when they are telling the truth. How about you? Did you care about Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Whiley?

More important do you care about men falsely accused for political reasons?

Correct, Republicans don't engage in fallacious personal smears.

Do you want to debate me or yourself?

Yes Kavanaugh. Or are you suggesting that all it takes is an unsupported allegation?

His nomination isn't already tainted, in fact we have learned even more about what an honorable and respectable man he is and Clinton had already committed multiple felonies concerning his sexual activity AS PRESIDENT with subordinate GOVERNMENT WORKERS and his abuse of power in rewarding those who granted him sexual favors. He was the one making the "it depends on the meaning "is" defense, and that certain sexual acts are not sexual acts, he brought that line of questioning on himself because they knew he would try legalese to get out of providing truthful testimony before the grand jury and in fact he walked into the grand jury and committed perjury.

Evidentiary standards in these sort of hearings are not those that apply in a criminal proceeding, Ford doesn't have to prove her accusation beyond reasonable doubt, she just needs to make a credible claim.

The fact she waited until about two months ago, until after Kavanaugh was named as a possible nominee to the Supreme Court, that she is a liberal, that liberals are convinced Kavanaugh would be nefarious for their way of life, that she shared this information with a liberal representative, that it reached her very liberal Senator who failed to make any mention of it, did not ask Kavanaugh about it in the lengthy public and private hearings held after his nomination and has expressed uncertainty over the veracity of the claim, that the accuser is represented by an attorney with very liberal credentials, that the accuser is uncertain of when or where this happened, drank alcohol before the incident, does not know how she got to or left from the party, didn't tell any friends about this when it happened or describe it in a diary, that she only knows of the incident only through a "recovered memory" induced by a psychologist in "couples therapy" six years ago, that no other teenage girls Kavanaugh met and went out with at the time have come forward with similar recollections while many have described him as a gentleman, and that Democrats have a clear interest in delaying the confirmation; all call into question the credibility of the accusation -I think it is politically motivated.
