Nevada Governor Sisolak Found Hoarding Coronavirus Treatment Drug

Just about a week after the Trump hating Democrat Governor of Nevada limited the ability for physicians to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine to treat Corona virus, news broke that Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak’s own Department of Corrections has been hoarding the drug for prisoners.

Sisolak claimed that he was doing so to prevent the hoarding of the medicine, despite the fact that you could only obtain it through a prescription.

Now, 360 News Las Vegas has discovered that Sisolak’s Department of Corrections has begun hoarding the drug following his questionable decree.

But among those who received hydroxychloroquine, fewer than half that number — 13% — died.

More than 90% of the patients received hydroxychloroquine within 48 hours of admission to the hospital. Scientists say giving the drug early during illness may be a key to success.

The study’s authors also found one concern flagged in previous reports about hydroxychloroquine did not materialize: heart-related adverse events."

For hydroxychloroquine to have a benefit, it needs to begin before the patients begin to suffer some of the severe immune reactions that patients can have with Covid," he added.​

I was surprised when Fauci said on March 2020 that there was no reason people in the U.S. needed to wear a mask. I knew that claim was false. Then when I tried to order more masks, and found they were not to found, I realized that Fauci had lied because he knew that face masks were being directed to first responders.

While the results are encouraging, they in no way "vindicate" President Trump. When Trump touted the drug, there had been no double blind controlled studies. Also, since then there were multiple other controlled studies that found little effect. The verdict is still out.

I also don't see why Fauci should end his career. I don't think he ever said that hydroxychloroquine should never be used, he just cautioned against possible side effects and against putting your faith in an unproven drug instead of practicing responsible behavior, i.e. social distancing etc.

What your link does show, however, is the zeal of the hyperpartisans at Gatewaypundit to exploit this saga for political gain, i.e. to smear Fauci and hail Trump. Very predictable.

 

When the chips are down you speak to people like adults: There's not enough masks, the COVID-19 floors and other medical staffs are going to get them first, and you will have to wait.

And it would have been wise to tell the people to use bandanas or cut cloth until the masks become available.
