Anyone of them would each and every year if they played the garbage schedule the PAC does, you never have to see Bama, LSU or any of the 3 already mentioned, it's a gravy train to the BCS championship being in the PAC.

They have preseason ranking, what are you talking about???

You are losing more credibly with each post.

I'll break it down for you, since you clearly don't understand the BCS rankings. The BCS standings do not come out until week 8 of college football. There are no preseason BCS rankings, period. Been under a rock for the past 14 years?

Ahhh, delusions of grandeur. Keep praying and the might end up winning 1 or 2 games.

The Hawgs will have more than 1-2 wins but they will never have met their potential based on what they were at the end of last year. There was just way too much off field drama to overcome.

I am an SEC fan (does my name here tip that off?) but am not blind to the shortcomings of the teams. I'm not impressed with Muskrats wins at FL and in the end, feel he needs to go. Richt got his act together and is now attracting better recruits. Saban is the best in the land right now and Miles is deceptively clever. He's "dumb as a fox" and I think his aw shucks ploy has been revealed. He knows the game well.

Arkansas will be lucky to pick up two more wins with a defense that would be tore up by most high school powder puff teams.

Why are you a fan of a conference, again? I can understand rooting on your team, but rooting on an entire conference seems dumb and pointless. Is it so you can have that "winning feeling" so to speak, each and every week, no matter what?

my college was small and had no sports. I just like good quality college football and get that with the SEC; and I moved into SEC territory so it fell into place.

Ahh, a fair weather fan. So if the SEC sucked at football you'd be nut hugging whichever conference or team was having success on the field. Plus you pick an entire conference instead of a team like 99% of football fans, meaning there is always a t-shirt in your closet you can put on to show your support for whichever team is doing well. That, good sir, is ridiculous.

Ya, know. You're right, I was mixing up the Coaches Polls, the ABC polls and the hoards of various rankings that start prior to the season and get thrown up during every weekends Game Day etc.

My point still stands though, being in the PAC 10 creates an easy road to a BCS bowl game since you won't have to play that tough of a schedule year in and year out.

No fair weather fan here, I'm bulldog born and bulldog bread and me and my wife are both graduates. I'm realistic about who and what we are, a solid SEC school who will probably lose the SEC championship, because I've not seen one single school other than LSU that can hang with Bama.

Forget NFL ? Ha ha. College football is to the NFL like 6th grade science is to the Atomic Energy Commission. Nothing more ridiculous than watching a college football game. Strictly for people who live in small cities (Knoxville, TN, Gainesville, FL, etc) not big enough to support a pro team. In short, college football is a joke.

LSU certainly didn't look impressive vs. Auburn who has been completely and utterly abysmal this year.

As much as it pains me to admit it, FSU does look solid, won't really be able to know that for sure until the last game of the season since they've pretty much got a cakewalk until then. The AP and USA Today both still have LSU in front of FSU and both have #1 Bama #2 Ducks, which may be right, guess we'll see how Oregon does vs. USC doubt it though, USC doesn't have the tools to slow down the Ducks offense.

South Florida plus 16 or 17 at home versus Florida St.(the Sems first road game)? Watch out! Also, did anybody in their right mind take Stanford giving the points at Washington? These may be the same people who still think USC is a national contender.

One reason FSU looks impressive is that they've been pounding cupcakes like Murray State and Savannah State. It's possible that Virginia Tech may give them a test in Blacksburg before FSU takes on the Gators. However, the Hokies have a history of losing to Top 5 teams...

5 SEC teams in the top 10!!!

WOW did Richt get 2 good running backs. Those 2 freshmen are awesome and it makes the Dawgs even more formidable.

I can't wait to watch the Dawgs vs the Tide in the SEC championship game

FSU vs Florida should finally be a good game again

Can't argue with that, but VaTech is terrible too... I do hope they lose to Florida, would hate for them to get into a BCS game by simply playing no one... oh well, that's how USC does it most year =D

As it should be, unarguably the best conference in the NCAA.

Let's beat SC and Florida in the swamp then we can start talking SEC championship. Tenn beat themselves and the Dawgs defense left much to be desired.

The Dawgs won't beat the Tide unless Bama makes a lot of mistakes. But, it won't be a shutout. The Dawgs have some beef up front and 2 superb running backs. They will be able to run against Bama unlike Oregon or even FSU could do. My hunch would be between a 3 and 7 point Bama victory. It will basically be 2 super heavyweights pounding each other.

Richt is a good coach but I'd rather see Saban represent the SEC in the national championship game.

I just hope the Dawgs get a top notch bowl game against a good opponent. Perhaps GA vs Texas or even FSU or Oregon

Saban and even Miles know how to deal with the speed of Oregon. It would be a good test for Richt as well. The Dawgs have the better team, it's just a question of whether Richt could put together the game plan, and get his kids ready to thoroughly embarrass the Ducks.

What did we learn this week? The Bulldogs are posers and they were crushed by the first ranked team they played. Oregon would have their way with Georgia.

I was going to say...where's the LSU, FSU and Georgia fans?

All defeated along with their hopes for a National Championship.
    Lots of upsets this weekend.

Longhorns got blasted by West Virginia all night. they imposed their will on us.

    Longhorns had:

    1. Bad play calling - Mack Brown looked shook all game. too conservative
    2. Bad Offense - David Ash is garbage, weak arm
    3. Bad special teams - WV's field position was average 50yard line..lol
    4. Bad tackling - Texas defense was missing tackles and chasing sneakers all game long.

    PITIFUL.

I shudder to think what Landry Jones is gonna do to us when we meet the Sooners in Dallas next week.

Yep, several top 25 teams took a loss this weekend. LSU and Georgia were both clearly overrated.
