    Though Pence's support is not great, still, that is a good question. However, the only "establishment" candidate who has been polling consistently ahead of Pence, is Haley. Scott barely beat Pence in a poll or two, But Mike P. had been pretty well staking out fifth place, for himself (though he'd finished in 6th & 7th, in some polls). Pence's support was fluctuating between 1% and 10%. In every poll I saw, I think Christie (& Asa Hutchinson) were lower.

    Besides Trump & Haley, the two others who were always ahead of Mike, I would not call "establishment"-- if you are referring to being in line with traditional perspectives, as opposed to having adopted the newer, MAGA outlook. Those others have been DeSantis, of course, and Ramaswamy.

    I'd taken him to mean more "traditional" Repubs-- like Hutchinson, Christie, & Haley-- as opposed to the new model MAGA Repubs, like DeSantis and Ramaswamy. (Scott, I consider as being midway between, though most would probably call him traditional/establishment, as well).

    Interesting reversal, or seeming turn-around, on the issue. As suggested in the article, though, he might merely be changing his rhetoric, disingenuously, and not his position-- if after separating Ukraine aid from aid for Israel, he follows up with stalling tactics.

    I meant Trump is establishment. If you are running as a "R" or "D" in DC, then you are establishment, and your success depends 100% on your party playing with you. Some people like Trump and DeSantis insist they are not establishment, and even rail against it as if it was the greatest evil in the world. They are pretending they are not "real" Republicans, but something better, and whoever is not like they are RINO and establishment, and they don't even realize how absurd it sounds. If you think about it, their argument boils down to everyone being RINOs, except themselves. Millions of people are happy to repeat those lines without stopping to think about it. The "establishment" is the current two party system, of which they are part of. RFK and Tulsi are the only ones who are not part of it.

    What makes her establishment, when she has never been part of the DC two party system, other than being the UN ambassador? The whole term is used as some kind of curse and trigger word to get people to reject them. First you portray the word as something evil, and then associate your opponents with it. Old trick, but still seems to work,.

    It wouldn't be surprising though if somewhere along the presidential campaigning he does throw his Bible behind Trump.
    The spineless weasel will do anything to stay connected to power, power which is nowhere to be found in his own political future.
    Pence can't even make money on the lecture circuit.
    imo: He'd whore himself out for a Trump cabinet position in a heart beat.
    Both he and Trump are amoral with Pence hiding it better and by Trump asking Pence to support him shows Trump's devotees that he's not a man of his word (lol) and will do and say anything for votes and $$$.even accept the guy he/they labeled a "traitor".
    Pence and Trump still deserve each other.

    Its is wonderful that you can see the amorality of your political opponents. It is a catastrophe that you are completely blind to the amorality of the entire fetid structure. None of these people are on your side. They are all slaves to the monied elite that give them power. Their job is to feed you poison and convince you that it is medicine.
