Wow, Newt actually though of a good idea before I actually thought of it.

He really is a walking google search engine.

[IMG] So they're gonna ask Newt and Bachmann about border security/immigration and not former New Mexico governor Johnson.

They can rag on Perry all they want about immigration issues but he is not going to budge.
They can use his positions to bludgeon him, but he is the governor of a state with 35% Hispanic population.

If Mitt can say that Romneycare was only for Mass, Perry can certainly make the same claim regarding the Dream Act for kids who've lived their lives here and have no intention of living elsewhere. You can educate them or put them on the dole.

And Johnson still has the best immigration policy of all and will never get the chance to discuss it.

what's he had now, 1, 2 questions :fart:

I know. *sigh* it's the Romney-Perry show. At least they are letting Paul in a bit more this go.

Cain has definitely upped his game.
And he's been getting some education on Israel.

I think the immigration issue will hurt Perry in the primaries more than Romneycare will hurt Mitt. That's why he's getting hammered.

Perry's attacks against Romney tonight have been clumsy.

I finally found something to agree with Santorum on, Iraq. Didn't completely catch the drift of his point on Pak. They are certainly no ally to us.

Yes, but are they all for open borders and illegal immigrants getting government handouts?

OMG! no she di'int! If she's not going to go down the line and ask every single candidate about their relationship with or opinion of Bush...that question was a useless (and crass) waste of time!

Next...a question to Huntsman regarding his relationship with the sitting president?
    I bet not.

Rick Perry doesn't know how to attack Romney.

He can't even get a sentence out without making mistakes.

I think he's got a good business head on his shoulders, which is something this country needs in the Oval Office.

    What will turn America around:

Bachmann will repeal Obamacare first off. (vote for her)

Romney will be a strong leader and tell the truth. (vote for him)

Perry will "get rid of Obamacare and look into EPA, lower personal tax rates and make America energy independent." (vote for him)

Paul will throw out all the govt and let the people get the jobs. (vote for him)

Gingrich is cracking jokes. (I like that guy)

Johnson, "My neighbors 2 dogs have created more shovel ready jobs than the current administration."

    LOL...

"BALANCE THE FED BUDGET NOW. THROW OUT THE ENTIRE TAX SYSTEM AND REPLACE WITH FAIR TAX, CONSUMPTION TAX."

    Who is this guy?

Wow. He's a slick guy. And he truly blew the "how would you get this country going again" question. It wasn't even an answer.

And neither was Newt's response...but at least his answer was clever.

    And neither did Santorum!

And Johnson gets the biggest laugh of the night.

Amazing. The most important question of the night, of the cycle, and three men had no ready answer.

The apple of my eye this cycle. Thus far, I've heard nothing from/about this guy that doesn't make me like him.

    A Paul-Johnson would be outstanding!

    Johnson/Paul

    Santorum/Gingrich

    Gingrich/opted out

    Paul/opted out

Perry/"staying with game show idea, if you could take Cain and mix him up with Gingrich, you'd have a really nice choice."

Romney/opted out (having trouble getting over images of Johnson's dog)

Good debate. Nothing too surprising. Perry doesn't come across well in debates... never has. Amazing he's gotten elected upteen times.

I like the format... Fox did a helluva job.
