If someone camps out on your property and you tell them it is private property and you ask them why they are there is that harassment? Should you be fired from your job for doing so?

Why is it OK if the guy fishing was trespassing and fishing in a private lake where he had no permission nor paid to help maintain the lake? I watch those LA Law and other shows with the Game Warden and Field Agents and they all the time are catching people fishing and hunting on private property where they have not permission to be. It's AGAINST THE LAW.

Then again, grace is a two way street. Otherwise all mankind, both the faulted and the fault finders, would be condemned. An HOA is comprised of all homeowners in the subdivision. They aren't ambassadors trained in etiquette. They're just regular people like you'd find in any neighborhood. All the fisher had to say was, yes I live here at such and such address, the grey house with the white trim, and so on. Instead he misdirected the moment and copped an attitude.

I suspect he may be one of those entitled people who wrongly think that because they are black, the rules don't apply. It's weird how some people convince themselves that wrong is right.

He said he lived in the area. She wanted an address. He asked her for her address and she refused to provide it. If it is a two way street, why didn't she provide her address and let's be honest if someone I did not know asked me for my address I would not provide it either regardless if it was the woman or the fisherman.

No direct evidence but there is video of him giving his ID to a police officer and him being allowed to fish afterward. So either the police office did not do his job and arrest him for transgressing or he met the qualification of fishing there.

Have you been watching the videos? There is a video of him literally talking to the president of the HOA about all of the people fishing there. He said if no one was allowed to fish there he would happily move on. The president of the HOA agreed. How is that entitled wanting to be treated like everyone else?

The rules are that you have to be a member of the HOA to fish there, not that no one can fish there. Has it been determined that he is a member? If so, then the problem is solved. It is not out of line for another member to not recognize him and to ask him if he is a member. I suppose she did this because other people who aren't members have been fishing there. It has nothing to do with race. It's about jealousy over homeowner privileges being abused by non members.

Karen's don't only bother black people.
There is one in my neighborhoods that likes to put fake parking stickers on people that park in "her" spot (but there is no assigned parking here), the only rule is you are a member (as in you live here). People usually tend to take the same spots (i guess you can say its an unwritten rule) but sometimes people have guests and the usual spots get taken and heaven for bid you might need to park 1 or 2 spaces down from your usual spot.
Also whatever she uses is super sticky and takes about 10 minutes to scrape off a windshield. Highly annoying. I would love for her to mind her own damn business but I have no interest in her losing her job over it.
I did report it to the association (not the cops) and it never happened again (to me)

In this case, the person who harasses the guy, hasn't proved she is a member, refuses to say who she is, and says the guy needs her permission to film her which is bs. So that's the out of line part covered that she was out of line.

While as a whole, this is not the first time this happens. It happens to this guy a lot. He tells this is the 3rd time this day. Later that day, they called the cops on him. This is also not the only day this happens. In fact, he has a whole page dedicated to this and him fishing there in general. And he got his camera ready not of some kind of coincidence. So him fishing there, is a known thing for all who live there yet keep on harassing him and calling the cops on him. We can all wonder what their motivation is of endlessly harassing a person that they should know is allowed to fish there, but by lack of obvious reasons: racism it is.

And FYI: He says he wants people's names who do that, to address this at the board meeting for members. That's when Karin gave him the finger.

It isn't reasonable to expect her to question the membership of another if she isn't a member. It is reasonable that she is a member who probably lives nearby, doesn't recognize him, and so asks him if he is a member. For him to not answer and question where she lives is simply contentious and contrary (in my estimation) when a simple forthright response to the question was in order. It is also not unreasonable for a woman to not say where she lives to a man who is exhibiting contentious behavior because he could come to her home and cause mischief or worse. She may lack social skills. She may resent having to intercede at all, or fear engagement, thus appearing too forward and "Karenish." Who knows. But from what I saw, the fisher turned the matter into a mess. Your stating that they all know he lives there and are doubting his membership because of his race, makes no sense.

It is, since she got a massively high chance of harassing members as a non member. That's just absurd. Get over it.

Than she would need to identify herself. And she refused to the extend that she even lied about needing permission to film her.
While it is unreasonable for him to identify himself, since he is there often. Often enough to make a page dedicated about being harassed.
Any person living nearby would have recognized him as a member when his latest vid just happen to go viral.

Absolutely not. If he told her where he lived, she could have gone to his house and cause mischief or worse where he at the end would have no clue who did that because she refused to identify herself. She just should have gone to the board itself. And they only came into action when she got fired from her job... asking the victim to stop recording the white people who were harassing him for the sake to make it go viral. It's the world upside down.

I stated they all know he is a member, because he is there THAT often to go and make a page dedicated about being harassed.
He even had his phone ready, to record what was going on, on the advice of the cops who also kept on being called on him.

????No citizen is required to identify themselves to another citizen. For someone who preaches freedoms under the constitution when it comes to defending specific political agenda you sure as hell are selective and ignore it when it does not suit your political agenda.

Enough with the selective fascism and yes it is fascist when you demand people identify themselves to fellow citizens. Who the hell do you or this women think you are? If I arbitrarily walked up to you and demanded your identity yah you would be peaceful. Right. Wait don't tell me you own weapons and feel that is your absolute right. Yah yah got it. Rights apply when they suit you otherwise to hell with everyone else's rights. Got it.

Then it should be reasonable for her to assume that he was a member because he was there fishing.

He should have just told her to go **** herself and went on about his business.

Of course, his first mistake was living in a HOA.

Naw, If I were the fisher, I'd have said yes I live at such and such address for five years or whatever. The woman was nice and being conscientious. The hatred exhibited towards her is out of line. She didn't harass the man. It is absurd and uncivil to call that harassment.

No that's just your cute retort, having nothing to do with reason. And your vulgarity speaks for itself. The woman was contrite, nice, and conscientious. Perhaps that is what triggers you as you are not.

Right. She isn't system. She is an individual. Systemic racism no longer exists. Racism is an individual thing.

It's the exact same logic you used to say he should have assumed she lived there.

And what exactly does that mean? Is he saying he is a property owner and pays to maintain the lake and common property and therefore has a right to fish there? She asked what house he lived in, he wanted her address WHILE HE WAS VIDEOING HER THEREFORE RECORDING HER RESPONSE. Same with the member of the board of the POA. Let's be honest if there is a sign there stating private property I wouldn't be fishing there if I didn't have a right or permission to do so and if I were a new resident and property owner I would have gladly make that known OFF CAMERA and introduced myself and in fact would have attended a POA meeting to introduce myself beforehand so people would not see me as a stranger in the neighborhood trespassing on the common grounds and illegally fishing in the private lake.

She is a property owner and a common owner of the private property on which the unknown person was fishing. If he is not a property owner he has NO RIGHT to be fishing there and should have never started as it is posted and should have kept his mouth shut with a lawful owner did question him and simple said sorry and left.

Not if she has never seen him there before and had asked others if they had seen him and knew if in fact he was a property owner. Property owners have a right to question people they do not believe have a lawful right to be on their property. And then there was the member of the board whose job it is is to protect the private property from intrusion by people trespassing on it.

IF he is a property owner then why didn't he simply introduce himself to her as she was trying to do so with him. I AM a property owner in a POA community with pools and tennis courts and if I had a suspicion someone was not a resident and using the private amenities and I would ask and report it. and if someone ask me I would be polite and yes tell them where I lived in the property ESPECIALLY if the person identified themselves as a member of the board.
