According to the Energy Department's survey of gasoline prices nationwide, the cost of a gallon of regular has increased over 25% since donald took office.

    Increase: 25.5%

Here in Miami, I'm starting to see regular at $3.00+ a gallon in more and more places.

To paraphrase our conservative friends who regularly started such threads when Obama was president -- "thanks donald."

I would thank OPEC for shutting off the pumps and KSA for stopping exports to the US. Whats bad for the percent of the population not in the oil industry is very good for population that is.

Oh and Russia and KSA are talking about pumping more, that may flatten the price for a while.

Oil prices fell drastically on Friday on the back of news that Russia and Saudi Arabia are considering an increase in their oil production, bringing an end to the production cut deal in its current form.

The nationwide average price for a gallon of regular gas hit $3.60 in 2012, according to AAA. That's up 9 cents from the previous record high of $3.51 a gallon set in 2011.

AAA blamed hurricanes, refinery outages and tensions in the Middle East for the high prices.

    Ad who was POTUS then?

But , of course, any CURRENT rise in prices must be blamed directly on President Trump, in Leftgoofyworld.

Get ready for the asinine false equivocations/deflections and excuses, from the usual perps.

    Der...

Sign of an improving economy...consumer confidence is up, people are upbeat and driving more...driving to restaurants, to shops, out visiting friends, taking out the ATVs, jet skis, boats, RVs...plus tens of millions of gasoline powered lawn mowers and weed wackers are roaring to life again.

Supply and demand. Supply will pick up to meet demand and prices will stabilize.

Not even close to the Obama high, sorry.

And the economy was NOT BOOMING when the record high was set under Obama. DEMAND is way up...as more people have more of their own money, and are traveling this weekend.

Libs have been advocating for higher gas prices to combat global warming.

Obama was praying in his mosque for $7 per gallon gas.

Yep, his commie Energy Sec, Steven Chu, wanted America's gasoline prices to mirror those in Europe in order to coerce people into driving less, and thus save Mother Gaia from the scourge of their made-up man-made global warming scam.

all that would happen with such a diabolical scheme is our capitalist economy would be severely damaged. which is their end game.

Who's the dummy who thinks he was sworn in on Jan 23?

On Jan 16, which is closer, it was 2.298 and that's a rise of only 23.3%

And, rising prices should stimulate production, which will bring down prices.

And, since we no longer import most of our fossil fuels, no longer do these demand spikes drain our trade balance. So, Drill Baby Drill!

    No. Not really.

Democrats Blast Trump For High Gas Prices … After They Spent Years Trying To Force Them Up!

Hypocrisy Watch: Democrats hope they've found an issue that will re-energize the fading "Blue Wave" with the recent spike in gas prices. Never mind that the increase is temporary. Or that Democrats have for years tried to force gas prices up — permanently — through various tax hikes.

Sen. Minority Leader Charles Schumer and other Democrats plan to use this price spike to blast President Trump and, hopefully, improve their election chances in November.

But that won't work, because, refiners must change their gasoline formulas in the spring to accommodate EPA air quality regulations, which pushes up prices every year at this time. Blame environmentalists for that. By fall, they will have switched to winter blend and prices will be falling.

Increased demand, thanks to the Trump Miracle of a growing economy. Gasoline demand in the U.S. hit record levels in March, and AAA expects 5% more people traveling on Memorial weekend than last year. Americans are celebrating the strong economy and that we have a President with enough balls to call MS-13 Animals, Animals.

What's really rich is that Democrats are complaining about a temporary spike in gasoline prices after having spent years trying to force them up permanently.

As recently as 2015, Democrats were pushing to nearly double the federal gasoline tax. At the time, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that it was the perfect time to do so because "if there's ever going to be an opportunity to raise the gas tax, the time when gas prices are so low — oil prices are so low — is the time to do it!" She happily gurgled.

Democrats in California pushed through a 12-cent-per-gallon hike in the state's gas tax last year that Republicans are vowing to roll back if they can.

'the Republicans' high gas prices are hurting the poor!' (the same arguments I made when the duplicitous frauds were pandering to the merits of raising gas prices and taxes)

I will be totally surprised if that isn't bellowed from some corner of Progressiveville.

And this makes it cheaper for me to fill up my tank?

Notice when Obama was President and the gas went up, there was this huge outcry from the Republicans/conservatives? Now there's either not a peep out of them or perhaps a few people making excuses to cover Trump. Thanks for the high gas prices Trump!!!

There will always be fluctuations in the price of gas. Ya deal with it, or you can always ride a bicycle, especially in a climate like Florida.

The economy sucked AND gas prices were high.... entering into $5.00 territory, even higher in some markets. a double whammy for millions of people who were scrambling to make ends meet in Obama's tepid Part-Time economy.

Steve, Obama isn't president, Trump is. What's Trump doing about the high gas prices? Apparently nothing.

The market is the market, a president cant really lower prices but his actions can raise them. Now name something obama reduced the cost of.
